STARTS INTERVIEW AT 5:15 Earlier I saw the YouTube video for DeeJ's "Guardian Radio" interview. I don't want my opinion to get lost in that wave of comments, as this is one of the few times I want Bungie to seriously look at what I have to say. "As much as I rag on DeeJ, he honestly seems like a good guy. And to be fair? He's good at his job -- I admire the way he carries himself and I only indicate him as the leader of the evil Bungie army because he's the most public face, not because it's actually his fault. Beyond that point, nothing can change the fact that this story is pathetic and I get the feeling that the Destiny Development Team made the initial mission based story-line and then called it a day. Seriously, look at every other activity in this game and you can find it rooted in a story mission you unlock at some point along the story. They didn't create new enemy mechanics or level designs for what is supposed to be new content -- bar Vault of Glass. They didn't even change enemy spawn points nor their attack patterns. They made the initial levels, handed it to the story dev.'s and called it a day, telling them that they weren't going to create any new levels and that it was up to them to create fresh "Levels" based off the old levels. "Laziness" is the first word that comes to mind when playing Destiny and when you have a 300 million plus budget -- ask people and the number ranges from 100 million to 500, so I think 300 is safe -- the amount of work put into this game is just straight troubling. Either they added locked disc content and are refusing to release it until you pay the additional $19.99 or they STILL have yet to work on it, and that's even MORE worrying! How is this all you have to offer with a 300 million budget!?! Eight hours of actual game-play and then just grinding? Also, his explanation for the Grimoire was seriously lacking and I was disappointed in it. He didn't explain anything or why that was decided by Bungie as a wise course of action. It's not DeeJ's job to explain why that was decided, but I would wish he'd answer something about it instead of going off on a tangent, saying how much he loves clan fighting and other Destiny aspects each time he's asked in the interview. That was just irritating. I like the game, I would love it if I didn't get these feelings when playing the game. It's good, but it's not great. It's fun but not memorable. You know what though? It could reach every single one of those higher levels if the story wasn't garbage, the level design wasn't so repetitive and linear, and that more evident effort was put into the game, among other things. I hope they really improve upon these points in the future or in Destiny 2, because I can tell you for a fact that I won't be buying any of these DLC's -- instead opting to just play the game as it is -- and I won't be buying Destiny 2 upon launch. I will not be duped again, because that is exactly how I feel right now." Ball's in your court DeeJ and shitty Bungie Developers. Link To Other Thread: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/73094488/0/0
