VoG: Still no raid armour....
I am really just making this topic looking for consolation more than anything, getting it off of my chest and seeing if anyone has any information that I am unaware of on this subject.
So far I have completed the raid 5 times with my main character. Once on Hard and four times (once each week) on normal. Now, I can't complain too heavily as I have been lucky enough to get Fatebringer(!), Atheons Epilogue, Preadith's(?) Revenge, The Shotgun and the warlock bond. Yet, all I have ever really wanted was at least one piece of raid armour for my character. I have completed the raid with more than 10 people - two of them now have complete sets and are level 30 and every single other one of them has at LEAST one piece. I started off as the highest level member of the team and am quickly becoming the lowest.
Several people I watch on streams have full sets now and have done less raids than me. Yes, I am becoming quite bitter over it now.
The only consistent thing here is that I am ALWAYS the relic/shield bearer. I may be grasping at depressed straws here but could this have something to do with it??

[b]Edit 2: Thanks to everyone for the feedback - all the feels going out to all of you who are/were in the same boat. Since posting I have run another bunch of raids on normal with several characters and two on Hard. Got nothing at all from normal raids (as ususal) but on my first hard mode raid I got chest from oracles and then helmet, timebreaker AND Mythoclast (!) from Atheon. On my second hard mode raid I got the boots from the gatekeeper section and subsequently hit level 30. Funnily enough I wasn't the relic holder for the hard mode raids...[/b]

So I have done the raid, oh it's too cold to take off my shoes to count. I have. Gotten the shotgun twice and the heavy machine gun. Most of my homies are well on there way to being 30 or are 30 already. Why can't I have this? Why can I get no raid armor? 2 characters, that it have done the raid with oh so many times. What the crap bungie? Why at so many people being left behind while one guy does the raid it seems once to get a full set with all the accouterments? Why is my hot dog the only one without the relish? My burger without the special sauce? And why do I have this cake, yet it goes uneaten? (I think I just made that last word up). I have this theory that your randomization is being bunched up in sections and not doled out at equivalent intervals. My sneaking suspicion, if you'll forgive the colloquialism, is that there is a special qualifier that one must accomplish in order to receive the benefits appropriated to others whose thumbs may be a touch more agile. Please take the time to ponder this and answer the simple question. Break the silence for a moment and put yourself in the place of the grinder. What is this equation that you have so pervasively snuck into our world? I have much mor to say on the issue but I think what has been said is adequate. Thank you for your time.

Its given me Last Word / Red Death / 2 Epilogue / 2 Preadith's Revenge / Found Verdict / Corrective Measure / Hezen Vengeance and all the usual stuff you get. But still no armour, hopefully crota's end will serve me better. Edit: I've been holding off going to 29 even though i've got the materials, but don't want to waste them in-case a piece of gear actually drops.

I feel your pain dude. I'm begging for the fatebringer and today the only ones who got it were the ones who already had it. Bit to mention never getting a exotic from Atheon or chest but others have.

I'm going through the same I got a level 29 hunter,only one arm piece I've done so many times and no raid gear,what's going to happen when the doc come out.bungie needs to fix the drop rates especially if your one that's pitting in work

I was in your boat for the longest time then got an alt high enough to raid and got a full raid set minus the helmet on my alt in two runs. My main finally got boots last week.

I was with a group last night, I watched two people in my group get the boots I wanted, one was double. He didn't need them. And I watched another friend get the chest piece he was waiting on. He was so happy, he almost quit the raid right then.

I'm in the same boat....same crap! Titan who's stuck at L29 forever. Leading a team to do raids and most of my clan members now are level 30. WTF Bungie....you hate me or something!

I'm quite sure many have answered your queries with the same. But I've only just managed to get gloves in last week's run, I feel your pain, although looks like you were fairly lucky with weapons... And now it seems a full set, so congratulations. As far as the RNG goes it seems like utter trash that some people just 'randomly' acquire it faster than others. Especially when it's a full set and fantastic weapons. Hell I have enough energy and chatterwhite to make a form of strobe-like disco. . . You know... Like implementing the two an- yeah never mind that. So now I'm resorting to iron banner as we speak... However!!!! Finding a decent team is like pissing against the wind, just gets messy.

Don't worry you'll get there eventually when the roll of the dice is in your favor. I received 2 hard light exotics,suros regime,found verdict x4, praedyths revenge x 3,time breaker x 5,universal tool,the last word,atheon epilogue x 5,aspect of glass x2,glass minuet,corrective measure,Hezen vengeance etc etc.. My other 2 characters both have 2 piece of raid armor each just need one more to hit 30. Just keep raiding n before you know it you'll have your gear!!

Raid helmet and chest piece from beating Atheon on hard and normal. 4 separate runs through. The only thing I can think of is before the Templar I had more kills than everyone else both times and both times I got a piece of gear. I also had the last shot on Atheon on hard and got the helmet to drop. My first run I got the chest piece after Atheon on normal and I was middle of the pack with kills. We all know its random but its also Bungies way of making it so not all of us have Raid Gear like right now. Its going to take some folks 20 run throughs and some folks 2 runs. Doesn't seem fair but thats how it is so I deal with it. I am not even running exotic pieces anymore so Xur is totally worthless at this point. If he ever brings Heart of Praxis Fire I will possibly make a switch back to one exotic.

I have ran the Raid about six times now, (1 hard/5normal) I've gotten one Auto Rifle, one Sniper, and two Shotguns....two Chatterwhite and more Acendant pieces than I'll ever need. Not one shred of armor while the rest of my party will get multiple Raid gear, I run with a set team and I'm the ONLY one without Raid Gear..I really wished this could be fixed..

2 RepliesLvL 29 Hunter Ive done the raid 16+ times and this what I get 3 sparrows 4 cloaks 3 helmets 3 gloves 4 chest pieces 4 ships 2 vex 2 vision 6 chatterwhite 100+ shard/energy ok anyone see whats wrong with this picture 0 boots,now any Dev that reads this please tell me how its possiable that a person that runs the raid twice has every piece of raid gear. Ive been stuck lvl 29 for 6 weeks now.bungie Devs look at my account and the amount of time I have played SEND ME VOG BOOTS VIA POSTMASTER or atleast respond to my request

In same frustrating boat your in, completed 8 raids to get only 1 armor piece, just don't understand the frustrating loot drop system, it's making the game less and less fun and more like Groundhog Day.

I am in the same boat. No boots at all. I have every piece of gear, guns, ships, sparrow, chatterwhite, but no boots. I have 2 titans that run the raid 2 times each and still no drop. 150+ hours nothing. They need either a fair trade system or an auction house. Bungie I need my boots!!

I personally think Bungie have got this completely wrong. What should be the most rewarding part of the game is quickly becoming the most irritating. I have completed the VOG at least once of each of the last five weeks (5 warlock, 1 hunter) and I am also yet to recieve any armor. And with the raid armor being a requirement to hit lvl30, I really don't see how anyone could say the current system is fair. Please change this Bungie, it is starting to make me want to just give up playing your game.

3 RepliesI don't mind games that have RNG, but when it's for something unique you can only get one place, and you only have one chance (per character) a week, it's pretty screwed up. 30 won't give you that much more to do so the raid gear is a carrot, but the total inconsistency makes it unsatisfying, knowing you will have to wait another week purely on luck, while someone else can be at 30 in a week regardless of effort. I do like the idea a currency, making all raid loot refineable for a raid coin. Maybe 10 raid coins for a piece of armor, 15 for a weapon. Make the coins like marks so they're stuck to a single character so a character has to raid in order to get to 30.

1 ReplyI'm in the same boat as you guys. I have completed the raid 9 times now. 6 full runs on normal and a few boss kills on hard. I have NOT A SINGLE piece of raid armor to show for it. However, I have earned 9 weapons over my raiding experience - including 2 exotics, a spaceship, a sparrow and 6 chatterwhite. At this point, Im really thinking of putting the game down until the next DLC. Bungie, are you serious that with this pure RNG crap? Give us some raid currency so we can buy some at least....Jesus.
