As you all know the Vex Mythoclast is getting a nerf. I am posting here to see how many people actually want the nerf and to see if Bungie is soaking in all the feedback or just looking at the select people who don't actually have the gun. Some people will tell you that the Vex Mythoclast is just too over powered and it is hard to compete with. What those people don't realize is that it has its strengths and weaknesses just as a shotgun will kill you if it gets too close as apposed to doing nothing from a range. When you play a game with a Vex Mythoclast it becomes clear that you need to change your play style to overcome its strengths. "How do you overcome its strengths?" Simple, you keep your distance. The "VM" is god aweful at rage and can be completely dominated by most if not all ranged primaries. Then when you are straying to capture/defend a small area such as a control point you switch over to a shotgun/fusion rifle with good accuracy to one hit anyone near you. Another point of interest is that you might not have enough time to react when the VM comes into your immediate area. This can be because of poor connection or server lag that needs to be fix by other means, instead of just nerfing the gun. Off of a PvP point of view, with this patch coming through, the VM will be virtually useless in PvE due to the fact that the damage is reduced and the critical percentage is increased. If you aren't seeing why this is wrong try killing a Minotaur with critical damage. Some enemies in this game just aren't very effective to kill with critical damage so by reduced the base damage it will severely hurt this guns performance in PvE. Some solutions could be tweaking the nerf or jus removing it and having more people get it instead of crying that they don't have it. This topic brings up a very good reason to have Raid Matchmaking so that many people who don't have any other means of getting together a raid group could potentially get a chance to use this gun instead of being completely biased against the gun since they don't know the difficulty of using it and have no idea what they are going to miss out on. Let me know what you guys think in the poll and maybe we can reach some peace with this argument.
