Destiny gameplay tips to increase your survival

Check yo Radar.....s color Yeah. check your radar's COLOR. When I figured this out, like 20 hours into the game, I nearly crapped my pants with joy. A DIFFUSE red color indicates the enemy is either ABOVE or BELOW you. A SOLID color indicates they are on the SAME level as you. This helps so much when you know what direction they are, but not above or below. It's saved my life more than once. DON'T RUSH AND CLAIM YOU BOUNTIES ALL AT ONCE. nearing level 20, you'll start hurting for weapon parts, and/or plasteel. leveling up those mediocre weapons and armor is just painful, not to mention slow. However, claiming one or two bounties is for the most part, enough to fully level those pieces so that you can finally dismantle them and get em out of your hair for good. this is especially helpful for weapons you just don't like and don't want to waste time leveling whilst hating them. Look sensitivity is GOD I'm not all that great on precision shots, but having the ability to quickly turn 90 degrees, or even 180 after I notice i'm being shot at is pretty important, and helps with beatdowns, as well. I recommend if you are playing low, to try turning the sensitivity up 1 point every few games and see how that feels. on the flipside, if you are a camper, then it could be beneficial for a low sensitivity and a sniper. Heavy Weapon Control I've played games where the heavy ammo wasn't grabbed within the first 5 minutes, let alone 10. What's up with that? Heavy weapons can determine the game. if you're the overly manly type that thinks rockets are cheating, fine, don't use em, but pick em up so the other team CAN'T. Know when to cut your losses, or switch objectives If you run into a control point and there are 3 people guarding it, don't be a hero. At least, not a hero without a rocket, as mentioned in the last point. Mindlessly getting yourself makes your team lose, if you're the kind of person who runs back to the same spot to get vengeance on that %^&*$% sniper. Go to another point, since obviously, almost the entire team is occupied, and isn't at the other points. Alternatively, for small maps, CONSTANTLY switch between 2 control points, and leave the uber hard to guard/attack one alone for the most part. The goal is only to hold at least 2 points longer than the other team. Know your map. actively switch your abilities. Big maps, have a rifle, sniper, and sticky grenades. Small maps, have a auto rifle or cannon, shotgun and AOE 'nades. you get the idea. switch em the moment your ship is in view of the planet if possible, to minimize downtime. CROUCHING For the love of all that is holy, and unholy, if you're into that kind of thing, CROUCH. IT takes you off the radar. This was pretty obvious in earlier Halo's but doesn't mention it at all in destiny, and it's a livesaver. Who does I shots at? Players USED to be color coded, and If you are having trouble telling the difference between enemy and friend, other than, you know, the bullets, and fiery eyes, check if they have a name hovering over them. No? Kill em. Yes? Then, well, you can't kill em even if you wanted. Keep in mind if your crosshair is over a player, it'll show the name, regardless. SHINY ARMOR Don't buy skins. To further the last point, skins, IMHO, make: OOOOO, SHIIIIINYYYYY, but SHIIIIIINY=noticeable. Gonna die noticeable. By the time you are even able to use skins, you should be able to handle a little peacocking, but I'd take a solid black skin anyday. I have yet to find it, however among other things I have yet to put to paper. May edit later on, feel free to prove me wrong, elaborate, or suggest edits/additions.
