How was your first night in the Iron Banner?

Seeking constructive feedback. Tell me about your experience. Please stay on topic. Were you detecting an advantage attributed to your more powerful gear and weapons? Did the experience feel different than standard Crucible combat? Talk to me, Guardians. UPDATE: I know people quit games when they know they won't win. I'm more curious about your perceptions for how the power-level advantages work. Help me help you. Stay on target!

  • Dear Bungie representative, I can say with great distraught to you that I honestly think iron banner is a waste of my time. Why you might ask? here are a few reasons I have concerns for you.... reason 1. The first night iron banner came out I decided I was going to keep track of my hours played and what i did and where I went, what i obtained...etc....And I'm very glad I did, so like me, many others can see how NOT to waste their time. I played Iron banner the first day for a total of 6 Hours, nothing but Iron Banner. And then the Next day I played a total of 7 Hours .... Here is What I got out of it. 1 Upgrade on my primary legendary Auto rifle. and a barely hit Iron banner Rank 1. Along with 70 crucible Marks 3 Useless rare weapons i broke down 2 useless rare armors I broke down Im a level 25 , hoping to hit 26... You tell me how this would make you feel if you played by your rules, and barely ever got decent rewards. I honestly think I would much rather play COD, or FF XIV, or DiabloIII multi player because they understand that rewards are essential to keep their players in the game and enthusiastic and content to continue playing their line of games. They understand being rewarded for your efforts is a HUGE part of keeping your audience. I can tell you now that I only played for those 2 days, have almost hit the max on Crucible to be played for this week, and have literally wasted that time thinking I would at least get 1 useful thing to help me out in getting closer to 26...But no. I was wrong. Here is my next concern... while playing in the crucible, i noticed a few matches I played were with level 7, 10, and 6's....All of which had a basic primary gun to use that you get while doing patrols, or story mode...None were rare...or legendary... So here I have this concern, How is it possible a level 7 can shoot me 4 times with an auto rifle and kill me and I have to use 2 whole magazines of bullets to kill him/her back? did i mention that they were ALL using common weapons? Im not sure how that makes sense...or even comes close to making me feel like i have gotten somewhere in this game... To be honest, it makes me feel like this.."wow...I just got shot down by a level 7 with a common...I literally must be doing something wrong or this system is designed to make me feel like all the effort I have put into this game is worthless...Thank you Bungie." Please explain to me how that is fair to all of the Guardians who really have put countless hours of their time into this game working to get better.... So all in all, I really just want you guys to know how dissatisfied I am with not being able to 1. be rewarded for all my efforts in trying to improve, and 2. how you make me feel like im worthless n this game to lower level players. I hope that others may look at this and see the same thing I do because I know Im not the only one with this concern.
