Enemy Weapons (Particularly Fallen guns)
I was talking to a couple of guys online the other day and the topic turned to weapons, namely the alien guns. We all agreed that certain guns were pretty awesome, and others were sort of boring (shock pistols). But we all thought that it would be pretty sweet if you could get alien guns to use (I know the Vex mythoclast and a couple of grenades are alien weapons, but I mean more of them).
So, my question is this: Would you want to see something like alien weapons as useable guns in the game? I figure that the Fallen, out of any of the other races, would have guns that humans could use, since they're about the same size and have similar hands to human hands, but the other races have guns we could still use as well.

Look at it this way. I'd say they're less effective overall than a good old rifle shot to the head. Might be interesting, but would go the way of NLB pretty fast.

1 ReplyI was playing and I picked up the Husk of the Pit gun that shoots out green bullets and it definitely looks like an alien gun

3 RepliesI think that the shock pistol would be a kick ass weapon. One, it's of alien tech. Two, it does arc damage, which would make it one of the few, if not the first hand cannon to do arc damage. Three, I think that the primary slot needs a break from human made weapons. Four, how often do you see a dreg reload their pistol, so the mag would have to be large. I'm pretty sure that this would make any of the classes be come hard to beat, even the noobs. And for those who are veteran gaurdians, it would make them unstoppable.

I am defiantly for it, just think of all the additional possible weapon classes, I personally would want them to range from common to exotic though. When you think about it there is no reason why your guardian couldn't loot the corpse of his enemies and just take a fallen/ cabal gun.

I think they are adding a fallen shotgun in the new dlc house of wolves it looks like the captains gun, moreconsole on YouTube has a video over it

We're going to get a shotgun thats like a Fallen captain's shrapnel cannon in the next DLC I think... Aside from that I'd like to be able to use a Captain's blades on my bladedancer. And a Cabal Legionary's slug rifle.

For starters, they are alien weapons so it doesn't get much more "exotic" than that. Secondly, the innate abilities of a lot of these weapons are so powerful I don't think they should be anything less than an exotic as far as rarity goes. Vandals' arc rifles fire HOMING projectiles. Minotaur void cannons create so much splash damage that they are almost like rapid-fire rocket launchers (Hydra cannons too but those are probably way too big). Colossus minigun? Enough said there, haha.
