Colorblind Option for Shielded Enemies
Hey Bungie,
Being an avid player of Destiny it is very frustrating for me to come across shielded enemies due to the fact that I'm colorblind. Solar is fine, I can see that one, but when it comes to void or arc it's impossible for me to tell the difference.
I think it'd be a great addition to the game to allow players the option to display the type of shield the enemy has on the enemy's name plate. So essentially right next to their level maybe it just shows a little arc/solar/void logo, the same ones that are used to display the damage type in your inventory, right on the screen.

Maybe they could add something in the enemy's status bar that would indicate what kind of shield they have (i.e. the symbol for the damage type it requires). Until Bungie figures out a work around, I would suggest memorizing what enemies have certain kinds of shields. To help: Fallen: Shank=solar Captain=arc Hive: Knight=arc Wizard=solar Cabal: Centurion=solar Psion=void Vex: Harpy=arc Minotaur=void I think there are a few more, but idk what they are. I also know the Dust Palace Strike probably sucks... Sorry.

Or you could just memorize the shields, most players above lvl 25 have. Fallen captain: arc Minotaur: void Wizard: burn Knight: arc Harpy: arc Praetorian: void Centurion: burn Those are the common ones outside of nightfall

I'm also color blind. This is the first I've heard of different colored sheilds... I also vote for this option.

I'm also colorblind, especially to blue/purple. Please help us out Bungee. Quite frustrating. Also, depending on what planet I'm on, I have a hard time seeing my reticle. :/

As a colorblind player, I second this completely! Void and arc are just too similar with my form of colorblindness...such a strange handicap I didn't realize I had until after I was 20

Yeah, slightly color blind here as well and those two are difficult to tell apart at times. I've gotta have someone else tell me which type of weapon to use.

Me too. I can't tell the difference at all and have to have my friends help me out. It's embarrassing and frustrating. A little help would be appreciated here.

Bump. I don't usually post on here and I have been having love/hate with the game but leaving out a colorblind option? This is a biggie. Someone read this thread and do something at bungie this isn't right.

Bump pvp: make enemies and radar yellow for pvp Simple fix. Fn cod does this! Then I might play some pvp. As it stands enemy, fire team and teamates all look the same. Can't see radar unless the background is white or pure black.

100% agree. I also have major trouble with the radar on certain maps and backgrounds. Anyone red/green colour deficient will have similar issues. It is a disadvantage that can get you killed in the crucible and needs to be remedied.
