How cross platform play could work.

Something just occurred to me, it's probably nothing new, but I haven't seen it really discussed in any forums. As a result of bungie having control over all destiny servers, as opposed to having them slit up between Microsoft and Sony, this has given many gamers (like myself) the hope of cross platform play in destiny. But there is one thing that I realized destiny would need to have this work. It's own friend/social-like system. Regardless if all your friends are playing on playstation, and you on your Xbox and playing on the same servers, you won't be able to see any of them on your dashboard. Thus, you won't be able to invite them to your party or fire teem. Making actually playing with them impossible. If destiny has a system (assuming Sony and Microsoft allowed it) that let you have your own friends list within the game that bypassed what system your playing on, cross platform play could then be possible. I'm pretty much in the dark with the actual technical aspect this would require, but I'm interested in what other guardians have to add to the subject. Do you think this would be possible?

  • what about cross platform such as PS3 and PS4 everybody is talking differences between Sony and Microsoft here how about just keeping it in the family like we have PSP,PS2,PS3,and the newest member of or family PS4 we have Destiny on both 3 and 4 and would love to help each other out but can't I see very little reason why this can't be offered within the family dynamic
