Best Farming Methods
I laugh at people who keep trying to find loot caves everywhere, saying this one is better than the other and what not. Instead of trying to find loot caves all day, stop for a second and use your head. The more enemies killed the better your chances get to finding Legendary/Exotics. Where do you get the most kills? During strikes.. So why don't you go into a strike and when the mobs start rolling in while your trying to kill the boss or main target, focus on the mobs and let the boss/target be. For example. The beginning of the Nexus Strike, kill everything but the servitors. Same with the Devils lair at the last part. Idk, just a suggestion for some of you out there grinding to find lousy loot caves. Because until Bungie releases new areas, LOOT CAVES SUCK.

2 RepliesBest farming in order: 1) Nightfall (increases xp gain until week reset, so more notes earned) 2) Weekly heroic (guaranteed strange coins) 3) daily mission (guaranteed ascendent materials) 4) daily public event (guaranteed ascendant materials or coins/motes) 5) bounties (chance for exotic bounty upon completion) 6) tiger strikes (just skip anything not necessary to kill. Finish in a few mins, get cheese) 7) choose a faction. Every level from 3 on is free legendary gear. 8) if you're lvl 28+, find people to raid with.

Do trash-waves spawn infinitely? I always thought the waves were based on hitting a HP threshold on the boss.

The loot chests are best for farming materials, I've literally never seen anyone run chest loot routes to try getting gear and whatnot....can't imagine why they would
