There has been a lot of discussion on gameplay in the Strike Playlist. One major thread is over the pace of strikes, and whether you should jump on your Sparrow and push toward the final boss ASAP, or if you should be methodical and kill every enemy from start to finish. So, which technique are you using? Let's find out which is the more popular style. Also, please provide your logic, if any, in the comments.

Slow and steady because I enjoy killing everything in my path, no matter how many times I have to do it. I play for fun, not loot. But I can't fault the players who want to race through. That's how they want to play it. Bungie needs to add a solo option to all strikes. Let us play at the pace we choose, without impacting someone else's game.

Do patrols if u wanna kill mobs. Im runnin strikes for the vanguard rep, marks, and to complete bounties.. thats it.

Slow and steady.

I tend to take my time with the strikes, unless I have a bounty that needs me to complete lots of strikes regardless of deaths incurred.

Edited by kellygreen45: 10/6/2014 4:52:24 PMKill everything. All the legendary items I've gotten from drops came from lower level enemies. None from a boss kill. This is not Diablo. I only speed run if someone else is doing it and forces you to do so or risk getting taken out by the mobs.

I don't play this game like a full time job so I haven't run through all of the strikes 100 times. In my first strike last night, we had two speed runners and me. I just hung back and killed everything and let them run ahead. We all finish at the same time, no?

If you take longer than 10-15 min (depending on the strike) then you are slow to begin with. I kill everything and still do it faster than most of these "speed runners" are claiming to do =p

Speed run. Why? Simple. I've done each of the 5 strikes at least 50 times. I'm there for Rep, Marks and since 1.02 the engram at the end. There is no point to killing everything because its all RNG. Higher level mobs don't make a single difference to the drop rates and I'd rather get the end rewards with a guaranteed engram.

Speed run. If I wanted to kill mobs I would Patrol.
-
After completing 100+ strikes.. I could give 2 -blam!-s about killing all the mobs. If it takes me more than 9 minutes to beat a strike, I did something wrong.
-
Speedrun for bounties. Mostly just follow the pace of the other guys on my team. Worst is when I do the strike on Earth and we get to the "new loot cave" and they disappear on me.

Edited by Faust54: 10/6/2014 4:38:43 PMMost of my legendary engrams have come from cannon fodder before the boss. I like killing everything. You never know what is going to drop the purple engram.

I run through very quickly, try and beat it in ten minutes ish usually. But always kill everything. Because I always use glimmer boosts

If I'm just doing bounties, and I've already done the Strike numerous times, I'm getting through as quickly as possible. I've already done enough slow killing, as quickly as possible mind you, doing bounties on patrol.
