I have read all the articles and all of the theories for why Bungie and Activision have not made destiny a cross Gen and split screen game. I do not feel the arguments hold up, the classic trademark of both Bungie and Activision games has been split screen play. Okay, so I went out and bought a PlayStation 4 so that my wife could play on the PlayStation 3 & I could play on the floor because there is no split screen, and that is a huge middle finger to fans of both of these companies, and fans of true multiplayer based games. However I decided to bite the bullet and buy a second system, just to play destiny. Let me be clear I bought a 500 dollar machine just for the game destiny, and I cannot even play with my wife I can't play split screen, & I can't play on the network with both machines. The fact that I can see her playing on the ps3 from the ps4 but I cannot join her proves that the whole game is network-based and you do not need the same gen system, bungee is specifically leaving that out to try to force us to upgrade I have spent lots of money on PlayStation products and the Bungie game and the least they can do is make it truly multiplayer. split screen, I do not care if it degrades the graphical quality. Or, cross gene play, please do not fist me in the bum because I spent extra money on two different systems, and still like my ps3 and don't want to throw it away just so I can play with my family and friends. I read you wanted to create a trusting community between the fans and the developers, and you cannot do that if you do not allow them to play together in more ways than your simple matchmaking . Again I have a ps3 and ps4 a ps2 and another broken ps3 and two Sony experia phones and two copies of destiny, does this loyalty really deserve this treatment? Give us the option please.
