What primary weapon do you use?
(And why?)
-
I prefer scout rifles because they just feel right. I am not a beast in pvp nor do own the stat board after missions but they are the weapon I most enjoy to use.
-
Scout rifles are (what i think) meant for PvE, while auto rifles are meant for PvP. Because enemies are much slower and take longer to get a kill on you, it gives you a better chance of headshots. Unless you are a very skilled player, it would be difficult for scout rifles in PvP. Thats why i think auto rifles are better suited for PvP. While you are already shooting at the player, you have a chance to move the aim to the head for max damage. Does anybody agree?

I like hand cannons but they can be kind of slow. imagine the halo magnum in destiny. Bungie get on that.
-
Use to use AR only but tried hand canon and scout now hocked on that for patrols and most missions. But got a scout to upgrade for full auto perk still use AR for crowd control it works best.

Edited by Takeen: 10/12/2014 5:12:27 PMThe scout rifle is perfect for the type of player I am. I love to aim down, see a face and get a shot off. The ammout of ammo for the scout rifles is perfect when compared to their damage so with a few well placed shots you can take someone out before they can get half an auto rifle magazine off. Especially with the hair trigger. Also the impact is a must, one shot leaves the enemy staggered making it perfect for one more well placed headshot. BOOMHEADSHOT It takes about 3 shots to kill someone giving me the ability to kill 4 people before reloading. Best case. Lol.

Maybe a good poll for bungie to see to either nerf autos or buff everything else to provide some real balance instead of Activisions overbalancing IB
-
I love Hand Cannons, but Autos are much better for big groups.
-
Why is this even in the feedback section
-
I use the Stranger's Rifle (Pulse Rifle) with a full auto upgrade. I'm a level 20 Hunter and not been in many of the crucible matches (focused on campaign) but it works wonders for me. Any thoughts?
-
Using a fusion rifle on main weapon. It's called vex mythoclast hahahahhaha!
-
Hand cannon main auto rifle for required sustained fire. Hand cannons are about the closest in regards to their actual damage listing. The damage per shot allows you to actually kill threats and especially heavy ones in a far more timely manner. Many auto rifles come close, but I prefer the pound for pound damage in each bullet.
-
My scout rifle is fully auto. With more ammo than my legendary auto rifle, also damage, impact, stabilty, range. So i use it now (vision of confluence)
-
I used to use a Hand Cannon, now I stick with the Scout Rifle. I like single-shot, high damage primaries. I guess that's just my playstyle. But I can't shake the feeling that Auto Rifles are just too good. The vast majority of players I fight against/with use Auto Rifles, and I don't think its a play style reason...
What primary weapon do you use? (And why?)
Would it be so hard to ask that in PVE we can use two or three exotics equipped at the same time, well weapons anyway. It's annoying to have to constantly switch between exotic primary and secondary. What the point of having the best gear and not have the ability to equip as many as we want.
-
Auto because its the only primary that gives me a chance against fusions
-
I'm using the iron banner hand cannon till I get red death
-
Hand Cannons after I made the switch from ARs. Why? Because headshots for DAYS!
-
If it took more than one shot, I wasn't using a Hand Cannon.
-
Hand Cannon in PvE (love headshots and its power!) plus I prefer how I look with a hand cannon in the tower than another weapon, However PvP I am using a Pulse Rifle (I tend to dismantle most guns). Found the hand cannon hard to kill with, and since switching am finding life much easier.
-
I recently made a Warlock who uses hand cannons. I didn't realize they were so fun. They kind of suck during boss battles, but they're great for anything else. I tried pulse rifles, but overall, they're not up-to-par with Scout Rifles or Auto Rifles. On my main, Auto Rifle seems to be the most diverse. However, once this patch comes out, I can see Scout Rifles taking the spotlight.
-
I'd use a pulse rifle ideally but I didn't have the strange coins to buy one on saturday
-
Auto rifle They really do seem to be the only thing that works. which is sad because I like plus more and there r so many other guns to use
-
For most players, unskilled at that, the answer should be shot guns.

Edited by Happy: 10/6/2014 12:18:52 AMI prefer using Pulse Rifles because the Battle Rifle in Halo was my most used weapon. Unfortunately it is not really a viable weapon class in Destiny :( The stability is awful, the impact is worse than auto rifles and has a low rate of fire, even the range is weak... But what really disappoints me is the bullet velocity. If I fire a burst at a target and they move slightly to the side, two out of my three bullets will completely miss the target. That combined with the bad recoil, it's just impossible to control.
-
I use hand cannon because it's satisfying to see heads pop-off.

Bump.
