This is an attempt to put together what we know about the game world into chronological order. If anyone can think of additions or suggestions, I'll update the OP. [b]circa 2000[/b] - Traveler enters solar system. Terraforms Jovian moons, Venus and Mercury (diaries of Jacob Hardy say the Traveler was active on these planets) before arriving above Mars - Ares lands on Mars. Contact made with Traveler. - Golden Age begins - Warp drive developed. Colonies established on all terraformed planets in the system - Exos built (speculative but probable) possibly as a way for people to upload their minds into artificial bodies and thereby achieve immortality (suggested by the Exo ghost fragment) [b]Year of the Collapse (=CE 1)[/b] - Darkness discovers the Traveler. Its arrival in-system is detected (by an AI? - the Darkness Ghost fragment is labeled AI-COM and sent by "RSPN", clearly a code for Rasputin) and a plan called "Carrhae White" is implemented, giving the AI control over solar defenses ... Alternatively, Rasputin's alert could have been in response to the arrival of the Traveler. In which case this story's location in the Darkness grimoire set is a bit of a bloody giveaway. - Vex seize control of Mercury (Dinklebot says this happened during the Collapse), suggesting they may have been the first enemy race to appear in system - Exos are reprogrammed to fight the Darkness (highly speculative. All we know is that their original programming is unknown. But it's hard to think of a bigger crisis that would cause their mass brainwashing) - Attempted evacuation of Earth. The Cosmodrome becomes a focal point for the evacuation. - Some refugees reach the reef, where they are exposed to something that transforms them into Awoken - Your guardian dies in the evacuation (speculative, but we awake in a junkyard of cars apparently fleeing to the Cosmodrome... However for Awoken characters, this requires that they have travel to the reef, get transformed into an Awoken, travel back to Earth, and then die.) - Traveler destroyed or badly damaged [b]Post-Collapse (CE 2-- )[/b] - Ghosts created. Guardians appear. - Survivors found the City - Fallen appear (specifically stated that they arrive after the Collapse) - Hive seize the Moon (timing unknown) - Attempt to reclaim the Moon is defeated - Fallen attack the City. Battle of the Twilight Gap. [b]CE circa 700[/b] - Your Guardian reborn
