Should I make a titan?
So I've been contemplating for awhile about making a defender titan. Since I've been playing my warlock I've acquired enough exotic and legendary gear to have a titan to level 26 once I get it to 20.
I've only played warlocks since the game came out and don't know a thing about titans and if they are good or not. Can someone shed some light on whether or not it's worth making a titan or not?

For instance defender titan melee shield triggers on killing blow sunsinger is a melee perc that triggers on hit, and can have advanced cdr with sunsinger supercharge. Also bubbles can cause raid wipes if you do them poorly. In fact defender bubble is the only super that requires map awareness, bubble at a conflux in vog and vex sacrafic under your protection. Titans look cool but I've shelved mine for a sunsinger warlock.

Defender Titan, for me, is the [i]best[/i] subclass for PvE… yes it has it's slight benefit in PvP, but for missions/strikes/raid, I ALWAYS go Defender… boosting defense or damage, heavy kills can drop orbs, and an ability that drops orbs for [i]every[/i] melee kill after the first one… too useful for group play to pass up, imho

1 ReplyI like the concept but don't have that much fun playing one compared to a warlock. Warlock outshines titan in pve, and hunter outshines titan in pvp. However, titan is well rounded at both pvp and pve. Striker is great for pvp is used right, and fun. Defender is basically only usefull for weapons of light in the late game pve.

5 Repliestitan is very good, the fist of havoc with the helm of inmost light is very good and defender with helm of the saint-14 is also good, so either classes, they're both good for PvP

4 RepliesI seen titans in control take a zone by just putting his bubble up and if an enamey go's in it blinds him, and titan jus shotguns them.its that easy.

3 RepliesFrom what Ive heard most people are hunters because there the best at everything including putting up bubbles and smashing the ground to kill things. I hear they also have a super with unlimited grenades and shooting void balls.

Yes, you should have each character for sure! The titan is SUPER helpful on the raid, at least the strategy we use!

If you like being in the middle of everything and being the "Last Guardian Standing" that saves your team, then yes. Also, if you like Control in Crucible, nothing says "this point is mine" like some Defender bubble. I thoroughly enjoy it.

Titan's are beast mode. Fists of havoc overrides some other supers from different classes, they have the highest armor rating, (which tends to make you the LAST GUARDIAN STANDING) .. no pressure. And the defender subclass comes with increased damage or overshields at higher levels. This class is underplayed in my opinion.

I was going to play a Warlock and only a warlock when the game came out. But then I found out there is no smart loot. So when I decrypted a legednary engram and got a Legendary hunter Chest Armor I decided then to play each class through to level 20. I am glad I did...now I have ways of using some of the legendary gear I get (though to be honest you can dismantle it and get the shards to use for other gear) that is not for my chosen class, additionally I can use these other characters to get the guaranteed shard/energy pay out each day from the public events, and use them to level up guns super fast by swapping out weapons and having them equipped when I turn in bounties.

Edited by CheaterMcCheat: 10/6/2014 11:46:17 PMYes. I still love my Titan. Made a Warlock, got bored and came back to Titan. Both subclasses are very fun, I switch between them every crucible game. My highest scoring game was with Defender I made B flag mine almost the whole game.

I just started a Titan and I absolutely love it. Don't sit there and make the same class again just to get raid gear. I would never sit through a play through of a warlock for another 26 levels just to get one of them to 30. There's no enjoyment in that.

I only play Titan. I have tried the others and have always went back to my titan. From giving people that cold arc light shoulder or canceling nova bombs with your WoD, to crashing down and obliterating whole teams and control zones with FoH...I mean I love titan. He is so feral and brutal and I am one who loves to stay in the thick on the fight. His armor and abilities like storm fist transfusion and juggernaut really help him to stay in the fight. A good titan is a tank for his team....taking those hits brushing them off so you all can see the mission through.

From punching your way to your dead teammates and popping a shield on top of them while you revive them to shoulder charging into a flag and popping fist of havoc on the remaining players, Titans and immensely satisfying to play!

3 RepliesTitans are better than Hunters when it comes to PVE and raids. Titans can buff allies or wipe out loads of trash gathered up in 1 place, also they can put a emergency shield up for recovery or survival.
