Anybody wish this event would occur more often? For those who don't know, it's sometimes possible to get ahold of a Pike in Patrol mode; on the Forgotten Shore on Earth, and the Ember Caves on Venus, you may sometimes get a random event where a group of 2-3 Pikes will enter the area, piloted by Fallen Dregs... and you can kill the Dregs, take one of the Pikes, and go for a joyride if you like. When this event occurs, you see a message in the bottom left corner of your screen, just above the Super bar; [b]"A band of roaming Pikes is nearby..."[/b] and then the Pikes enter the area. The problem? [i]This is an extremely rare occurrence...[/i] and when I say "Extremely Rare", I mean second only to the Vex Mythoclast. I love the vehicles in this game almost as much as the ones in Halo, and the Pike is a very rare treat outside of PvP in the Crucible; the Pike only appears in one story mission and one Strike, and in both cases you only get to drive it for a very short time... not at all like the vehicle levels in Halo. I've hung around these areas for well over an hour sometimes, just killing bad guys while waiting for a Public Event to start or collecting Spirit Bloom, and I think I've only had the Pike appear ONCE on Venus... and not even once on Earth, not even in the Beta. So; should they increase the frequency of this particular random event? There's not enough vehicle action in PvE. A great deal less than what I was expecting from the creators of Halo.
