Destiny hype - my opinion

I started playing Destiny during the Beta stage, enjoyed the hell out of it and couldn't wait for the actual launch. The wife pre-ordered it and warned me that I would be disappointed if my expectations were too high. • I don't like the levelling system, but I can appreciate the subtle genius of it. • I don't like the fact that the Sparrow is so slow, apart from the initial acceleration, it feels too sluggish. • I don’t like the fact that the SPARROW has no real use other than the obvious – I REALLY hope Bungie adds something like Sparrow Racing events with speed and vehicle weapon upgrades – having said that, I don’t even like racing games! But it would add a lot to the game itself. • I don’t like the fact that the SPACESHIP has no real use – why have lame loading screens travelling from one planet to the next when you could actually do it piloting your spaceship? Even if it was a lame minigame, whether you faced enemies or not, it would still be more engaging than seeing the same animation (in effect loading screen) between each map. • I don’t like how difficult the strikes are, even now when I’m trying to get the Thorn Exotic weapon, I can’t even get to the last part of the map where Phogoth is chained up, nevermind getting Xyor to spawn. HOWEVER, I would hate it even more if it was too easy, so this point should probably be deleted. • Lastly, the biggest complaint I have with Destiny, is the fact that it is intended to be multiplayer, but most of the time I’m stuck playing solo, especially in Restricted Spawning areas. As with the Crucible, we should be paired up with other players by default on every map, unless we have a Fireteam. I’ve had to quit many Strikes after trying to complete it for hours, simply because it was impossible to do solo… and to put all that effort into a mission, spending the whole evening and have nothing to show for it simply because your online friends don’t have the game or not on the same level, really kills the experience. Having said all of that and with many more imperfections to the game laid bare by others, I really like the game. My high expectations from the Beta has been met, and then some. The story mode was too short (and I really liked Dinklebot, screw the criticism), but memorable. I didn’t understand half of it, what the Darkness is, what the Fallen, Vex and Cabal all have to do with any of it except cannon fodder. But for enjoyment factor alone, I’ve gotten my wife’s money’s worth a long time ago! What is your opinion, and what would you like to see in Destiny?
