Xur should sell Exotic bounties instead of the actual item.
We all know what happened with Suros. If bounties can be purchased and they are hard enough, fewer people will have the goods. I don't see how anyone except the noobs could hate this :)

If an exotic engram were say 40-50 strange coins, and you weren't guaranteed the same weapon as everyone else, it would help maintain the legitimacy of EARNING your awesome gear. It really isn't hard to earn 20-30 strange coins in a week. Between doing the 28 heroic strike, randoms from blue engrams, and public events and junk, I netted around 14-15 yesterday alone.
