I just got done filing a BBB complaint on Bungie for unethical business practices. If I buy a disc I expect to have everything on that disc and not for parts to be cut out and locked away to later be sold over again. This is morally and ethically WRONG. Pay twice for the same disc content? I encourage all of you to file a BBB claim on Bungie to get awareness on the issue rolling. The more people that file the more awareness will be brought to the frontlines and MAYBE just maybe this ludacris price gouging and profiteering will someday cease to exist. Again if you buy a disc based game you should have ALL content on that disc...anything downloaded later would be DLC but content locked away on the disc you already paid for to be charged again later as "DLC" is WRONG...dead wrong.
*edit* to all the idiots defending these practices I ask you WHY? All thats in it for you on the other side is for future games to be chopped up and released as generic and vague as Destiny was and sold to you as an inferior product. Why not try to get games back to fun enjoyable content on the disc you initially paid for? You have nothing to gain arguing against my point...unless you like being screwed over from here and into the future.

Hello I'm from the Better Business Bureau. We have looked over you complaint and have taken the following action: Deleted your complaint, invited all on-duty employees to laugh at you and contacted Bungie to inform them that you suck. Please don't expect anything more and thank you for thinking that we care. Sincerely, The Better Business Bureau.

Don't like it? DON'T BUY IT.

Edited by talemyn: 10/2/2014 6:44:39 PMYou know, there are completely legitimate reasons that you would ship out DLC content in the initial release. Just one example: Bungie Manager: "Hey Bob . . . how's that DLC content coming along?" Bungie Employee: "Pretty good, boss . . . we've got all of the map designs and cutscenes complete, but we at still working on enemy and loot spawns and then it's got to go through testing and any defect resolution." Bungie Manager: "That sounds great! Why don't you get with the deployment team and have them burn the maps and cutscenes on to the launch discs . . . that way, we can just have the updates in the DLC files, and it will reduce the download size." Bungie Employee: "Great idea, boss . . . I'm sure that everyone will appreciate not having to download all those files, when the DLC comes out. Well, ALMOST everybody . . ."

So from 1-10 on the butthurt scale, I'd say you're a about a 7.5.

Edited by x2Hunter5x: 10/3/2014 10:34:56 PMDestiny is an MMO and this means that it will be enlarged during its life.. I'm not defending this practise but if they already had to publish dlcs then in them they will put the story too. This only means that probably they are going to be real dlcs and not the usual crap with 3 friggin maps in them

Hey Tom. I've fired people like you. All you do is try to start trouble. Bet your new boss thinks the same.
-
You just gave me cancer.
-
People like you are the reason I drink.

You realize the BBB has no authority to penalize Bungie? Did you check BBB listings before deciding to buy Destiny? Did anyone? Does anyone check BBB listings for any video game ever? Nope. EA would probably look terrible on there... That is -if- they didn't issue a response within a certain period of time.
-
Where did Bungie say that Destiny was going to be 100% complete and with no further updates, patches, or DLCs at the time it would launch? I was under the impression that Destiny was designed with the MMO model in mind. That means they intended, from the very start, to constantly pump out more content/story (both free and at additional cost) for as long as people play the game.

You paid the regular price for a disc game...now lets see... 1- lifespan of a usual game on disc = 8h campaign on average (shorter for FPS) 2- you bought destiny for the same price yet have already accumulated more than a work week's time in game (5 days +) For something that you clearly enjoyed this long, you got your money's worth. And lets not even get into the many other activities you could do in life if you turned away from your screen...

Where's the proof?
-
First of all get off your high and mighty horse!! And second of all you have zero proof provided. You can't expect people to believe your claim!!
-
You didn't buy anything. You licensed use of a software program. Read the EULA. Stop wasting the BBBs time. They have real issues to investigate.
-
Does your handler know you are accessing the Internet.
-
To be honest, "unethical" isn't something that comes to mind when someone says "disc-locked content". Nor does "immoral", for that matter. May I recommend a book to you, it's called a dictionary.
-
LOL!!! YOU TOAD and fool! the complaint SHOULD HAVE BEEN AGAINST ACTIVISION!!!! JESUS get a fckng clue!!!!! BUNGIE ONLY HAD CREATIVE RIGHTS PERIOD!!!! The amount of games and content within ARE NOT THEIR CALL. after review the BBB will toss it and NOT 1 infraction handed OUT! 3rd time I have had to post the same BS!
-
"I'll take Posterior Pains for 200 Motes of Light, Alex." "OP experiences this on a regular basis." "What is "Butt Hurt"?" "Oh, sorry. We were looking for "Aching Gluteus Maximus"." "What the fudge snacks that's the same thing. No one says that. I'm filing a BBB report against you, Alex." *AlexLaughsAllTheWayToTheBank*
-
Good luck with that lol You better have some deep pockets because Bungies lawyers will pull your pants down and make you a laughing stock. You've got to love how people these days are so quick to call on other means in order to make a point, and they usually don't have a bloody clue what they're on about.
-
Here's a thought, maybe there isn't any disc locked content? Perhaps there isn't any, and instead there are just some place holder areas? Hmm? Since you can't definitely prove locked content these complaints are worthless.
-
How do you know it's on the disc already? Did you run any of the locked missions? Run the locked raids and strikes? Basically you have no FCUKiNG proof. just some guy that made a video showing the main menu with the DLC content titles, Which BY THE WAY was given to us two week earlier before that video

A couple of things: 1) The BBB is not a regulatory body. They have no authority over anyone, and your complaint will have less than no effect. 2) Hyberbolic and obviously false statements such as "on DLC disk being ethically and morally wrong" are not going to help your cause. 3) You sound like you are about 14. Chill out, stay in school, and with luck having to buy DLC for a game you play will continue to be the biggest problem in the world for you. Don't count on it, though.

Edited by C4: 10/3/2014 7:09:20 PMIt's there game game they can do what they want with it so stop bitching, if you don't like the game don't play it, or return it, no one wants to hear your complaining Your a 27 hunter obviously you like the game to spend that much time on a character, unless your a retard

You get 'em! That'll show them who's boss around here!! Grrr!!!

Enrage is near...

Rage at Activision, not Bungie. They are poisoning Bungie.
