Thank you Bungie for showing your true colors
Bungie consciously and willingly did the following :
Take Halo and reskin it.
Create a story with such a thin fabric it is nearly ethereal, non-existent.
Create a universe that feels dead, cold, I am not drawn to it like I was drawn to Halo for instance.
Join up with a publisher known to destroy franchises, suck it's customers dry and is known to have been rehashing the same -blam!- of a game for nearly eight plus years ( CoD) and let's not forget : loves to steal from it's customers by cutting content from games and selling them as DLC.
The game they released is appallingly repetitive, uninspired bullshit and I am very sorry I wasted money on it.
Sure sure, give them another chance and all that, let's not forget these people are supposedly industry veterans, they should have known better and should have had way more respect for us, the people that made them great and pay their salaries than to release this joke of a game.
Artificially prolonging the story by exponentially increasing the difficulty, being lazy when it comes to animations (the jump animations and some of the cover animations for mobs are straight out of Halo) ... Not to mention rehashing uninspired story missions into 'Strikes' and 'Nightfall' missions...
The only piece of content that felt worthwhile so far was Vault of Glass, though that's lost it's charm since we can now clear it in under forty minutes making it yet another part of this perpetual grind of repetition called Destiny.

I love this game with a passion, but its impossible to deny that it feels incomplete. I can only hope that they will make this game grow and mature into something we can remember and be proud to have played. I still have high expectations for Destiny, only time will tell. I am not a fan of halo, but halo 1 is one of my top 10 best games of all time, not because I was a bad mother-blam!-er online, but because it was my first online shooter. People from my HS still remember I was the best in the entire school at that time, and that's one memory I will keep till I die.

Most of us who have friends on their platform anyway. This RNG thing has yet to give me an exotic gun. Played since launch. It's sad to say that from everything you learned from Halo you can't even build on it. Since this is a firefight with bigger maps, the same mission objectives, and a kickass story (esp the vex and the vault of glass) but no in game motives of why your there. I know bc I got so bored of wondering about certain downright obvious contradictions that I read the cards. Most of the info on the vault and places, enemies, and weapons(vex by far the most interesting) is from npc's at the tower who have voices...why no cutscene at the beginning and end of raid. A congrats from the speaker would be nice. Are all raids going to be like this? Nobody knows why they're there till they do it, leave game, and go "oh that's why"? The existing cutscenes (which none are rich or cinematic) have only your character where I expected all three. Have everyone's ghost sound the same or just the one like in the live action. The banter between the guardians was great. This is far from immersive, open, and I feel no connection other than hours spent into my character. Naming them would've been a start. This can't be the example of the entirety of this installment is it? Rehashed events and then after dlc rehashed again?? Bosses aren't even different models as well as all the guns but exotics. Apathy pours from this game. I'm just waiting till I'm proven wrong or Inquisition and après equal comes out. Idk after that Bungie. I've come to terms that this game is what it is. But I think you should change the name or work on that cool game we saw a year ago.

My conplaints are of the hidden content we were showed at E3 also the start of the story was way different, yes a lot of people are going to say this game us a halo clone, but bungie did have a lot to do with this game, crucible needs a lot of work still, and we need way way way way more pve bounties, but you guys have to understand this game is barely a month old, yes the really screwed the pooch on this game, but give it time and they should start to make things right by listening to customers complaints.

OOH ONE SHITTY PLAYER GONNA MAKE EVERYONE QUIT,hahahahah Good one Bungie. - Matchmaking options for every mission and instant chat when matchmaked -No corridors, OPEN SPACE, WHOLE PLANETS AND ALL I DO GET STOPPED BY INVISIBLE BOUNDARIES, BOOOOO! -WHERE THE LOOT? -MORE INTERESTED DIALOGUE WITH CHARACTERS IN THE GAME,ex: my awoken titan went to the reef, THE SUPPOSED HOMELANDS OF AWOKEN, and at no time were they like ''oh a fellow awoken'', or some other distinguishing remark about species. - More missions with interesting details - MORE GUNS,GEAR - MORE CUSTOMIZATION - For the time spent on this game it reeks of spit and glue from a feverish night of trying to make deadlines,this game thus far re-defines the definition of hype and disapointment. I do not feel Destiny can be referred to as a game presently as it seems more like DLC, a game stands alone, so far this game sits in a high chair screaming. cheers Meanwhile I continue to play because I enjoy shooting things. I've got 150 or so hours logged in and realized that I've been playing because I want to have fun but just am not. Maybe time to venture back to Warframe. At least I can get some mission and character variants there.

13 RepliesIt makes me sad. They had 5 million dollars to make this game in 6 years, the only good thing is the raids which show bungies true colors and what they can do. And I can't even play it because low and behold I'm level 22 and I don't want to grind for hours I actually have a life I just happen to like video games. I pre ordered limited edition for $150! And now sadly I say it was a waist of my money. The only way they can make it better is that they release free content and new bosses that are HARD. Please listen bungie thank you.

14 RepliesI truly feel like everybody who feels this way about Destiny feels it because they were expecting something more closely related to halo. Complaining about a short campain, guess what guys!! Most games with a M/P have a short campaign... and most games with a long campain, has no M/P. I also dont see why everyone says that its a halo reskin, its a Destiny skin... made by the same people who made halo, but nowhere does it look like halo. not even the weapons look like halo. Wasting money and time? Yea, by complaining about a game that you already bought... Saying stuff like the campain is short and the M/P sucks. I find it funny how many people played the Beta, yet still buy the game knowing what theyre going to be playing. The Beta looks just like the full game and if you dont like it cuz it "looks like halo" why buy it? who cares, already bought it to complain about that. You knew exactly how the gameplay was, having to farm for better gear... yet you still complain "i bought this for countless hours of farming the same thing over and over and over again"... Why did you even buy the full game??? for the story that you could have watched on youtube? or because its by Bungie and you thought they would change the whole game??? Crucible is still crucible... you played that in the beta too, but still complain about it being broken when it was broken in the beta. People just need to get it in their heads that this is one of the only mmo fps games, with an online feature and a M/P, it is not halos great story... and it is not call of dutys known M/P, but it is Destinys unique MMO... so stop comparing it to other games, and maybe you will learn to like it more... if not then just stay far away from any mmo or rpg in the future cuz ill guarantee you wont like those either.

Saying well that wasn't fun they should've held content back but no your sad because they left shit out. Think about it they said this a 10yr franchise they're gonna release shit piece by piece. Look at WoW it started with one continent then they released expansion after expansion adding more continents to the game be a patience you stupid fool. There's ton of games to play in the mean time to keep you busy.

10 RepliesI think 100 hours is about right to determine this really isn't a very good game. At this point the fun qualities wear thin, and I for one questioned why to continue playing. Make another character? I don't think so - better things to do. Officially uninstalled. I am still disappointed. This game feels like some sort of marketing trick to obtain high initial sales - then when the community plummets, the game will probably quietly vanish. I strongly recommend people stop pre-paying for hyped games. Publishers will continue to release average titles if they continue to sell well. Destiny is a average game at best. A marketing sham at worst.

1 ReplyOver 100 hours of gametime is impressive mate. If you've sunk so much time in, surely you felt something was worth playing for. There are other games like Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed, Diablo 3, Shadow Of Mordor- go play them, or find something better to do.

1 ReplyYou are very correct with all of this. I said it in a comment below but this game turned out to be shit. You can make dlc and patches all you want but it's like putting glitter on the shit. It might look a little prettier for a while but you still know what it is. They've set the time for their long time customers and traded them for the new generation of people without an attention span that'll keep buying their shit without question or concern

1 ReplyMan we had two hints. 1. Their writer left in a tiff. We thought they would recover. 2. The composer was fired and had money kept from him that is now legally seen was his to begin with. This is NOT the Bungie we loved. They are about as soulless as their game sadly. I hope this is not true but so far all I seen is deceit and Spin doctoring. I have little hope of this game to not become the next Defiance.

I agree completely with OP, he is so on point! The sad state of this game really dictates how much fun we can have. This was not $60 well spent, especially considering that the damn multiplayer still suffers from lag, kill lag, ammo bugs and respawn bugs. I feel like congrats Bungie, you fixed the engram system now fix the -blam!-ing PvP! Considering it's the only part of the game that has any unpredictable anticipation behind it...

I only ask, because it is a lot of time you invested, only to conclude +100 hours in that it is an uninspired game. So I'm honestly asking why waste the time? the game sucks bro. I have been playing the sh!t out of this M/P. the maps suck (there are like 3 good maps)the lack of balance is unacceptable-you would think bungie never M/P game before. wtf is with these f@cking fusion rifles and no f@cking chat(in the crucible)-what a f@cking joke. I cant tell you how many times I have been crouched and making a move and some guy (dying to get a kill) on my team runs up behind me and gets both of us killed and I cant say sh!t to these guys. I had my worries about the story something just did seem right to me but I bought it for M/P and after following bungie since the first halo maybe you guys needed Microsoft bustin ur balls cuz right now ur game is f@cking a joke. the good news is the M/P can be fixed but by then will we even care
