The new patch.... did it work?
So, I know the new patch was suppose to fix the engram issues (Color related), but did it fix the ones you get from the postmaster as well? I just got a few legendary (Purple) engram rewards from the postmaster, went to have them decripted by the Cryptarch, and I only received rare (Light blue) items. Was this not addressed with the new patch? Anyone else run into this issue?

Post patch and the first purple engram drop kicked out an exotic assault rifle. Next was the Pogoth tiger strike which awarded an exotic scout rifle and a strange coin. Hit the tiger strikes hard - easy way to gear up.

Levelled up my cryptarch post-patch, present from him at the postmaster was a legendary package, inside was blue chest engram (gave me a blue chest), purple primary (gave me vanguard scout rifle, also purple) and a purple chest engram (gave me purple chest for warlock) I'm a titan so useless atm, but not moaning about the fact it's for a different class as it's well explained, in fact I'm not moaning at all, I'd say the patch cleaned it all up nicely :)

4 RepliesThe package is legendary (purple) but it doesn't always give you purple engrams, that also was the case pre-patch. You probably haven't paid close attention to the sort engrams you got from the package, they probably were blue and thus you've got blue items....

Never mind, I think I found the answer in the forums. But it's something I think needs to be addressed. If one receives a legendary package, then the items in the package should, at minimum, be legendary. The same as the engrams. It's bad enough I NEVER get legendary drops or packages, but when you do, you shouldn't be rewarded with a lesser item. That gets old real fast.
