who wants full war events

yes that would be awesome

no I'm good

I'm talking like a limited time event that is a thing you join like patrol for 3 weeks but it's a huge fight in some new destination like a second battle at twilight gap with tons of enemies vs any guardian in the area trying to take points and hold them from groups of fallen and if guardians have the most hard points at the end something happens at the tower that's good but if they lose some thing bad happens

  • or a huge ground war, like a 40 v 40 and it would take up the entire Cosmodrome, with a bunch of spawn points to prevent spawn camping and with fallen on top of the other team attacking you

Check this idea out that i found on another thread:

We have amazing looking ships but have nothing to do with them besides staring at them in the loading screen so I suggest putting the prebuilt guns to use on them in a pvp match and also a pve area just like a planet with missions, a patrol, public events where we fight massive capital ships or chase down a small but fast scout ship and lastly a boss fight areas like a strike I was just talking to my friends about how we could Give the reef or the orbit area a use by doing this today, was going to post a topic about it but You beat me to it so good idea :D I see people in the comments section talk about how this is an fps it's like so what does that mean we should be extremely limited to how we fight even the first halo had some air combat hell look at battlefield, there's no reason destiny couldn't do the same especially since it's on the reach engine Give first and third person options and have a streamlined toggle for it so that you can do it in battle. This would allow players to either see around them if they dont trust a tight fit or not lose the its you feeling by being in a cockpit. Also for pve have a guardian ship to land or take off of would be nice for repairs. Protect it as another option, maybe pull a page from star wars battlefield and have it so you can land on enemy capitol ships to hold off inner enemies or get to core protected by a mean sob. Have powerful turrets and heavy cannons guardians can use to fire at enemy ships or capitol ship for those who may not want to fly, or defensive areas to set up on the ship. Maybe have random events where your going to orbit or taking off to the planet and after it loads your pulled into the battle. If the ship looms over planet enemies below could get buffs or drop ships. Maybe random orbital strikes etc. Planet defenses guardians can deactivate or turn for our use etc. If you want you can just land on planet by flying into its atmosphere or leave planet by holding boost button until its peaked and a prompt pops up to click thumbstick to activate warp. So you can leave when ever and avoid accidentally leaving. ^^^YES! Love all of these ideas, especially the bit about buffs on ground level enemies when a ship is overhead. Like, picture this: You're on Venus when an enormous shadow is cast over the entire landscape. You look up to see a massive Vex command ship in orbit overhead in all its Bungie skybox glory, blocking out the sun. "Oh no, boys and girls, we're in for it now," you whisper nervously to your fireteam. Suddenly, super-buffed Vex start warping in all around you. A public event tasks you and any other area Guardians with protecting a specific location from the attack. The buffed Vex are next to impossible to take down, but you're able to delay their inevitable march toward your location. One of your fellow Guardians shouts hopefully, staring up at the looming vessel "Looks like we've got someone looking out for us up there!" Your party looks skyward to see a series of flashes and laser fire around the orbiting enemy ship. Air support has arrived. The ship above has created a blockade for any Guardians trying to enter Venus' atmosphere. Players loading up the Venus map are being unknowingly pulled into the dogfight above the planet. When they exit hyperspace, they find themselves looking down the barrels of the massive enemy vessel. Suddenly, small Vex fighters start pouring out of every hangar door and begin opening fire. The Guardians enter the fray. The enemy fighter ships are going down no problem, but it quickly becomes clear that attempts at attacking the main ship are futile. Its shields are immune to the Guardians' firepower. Planetside, you hear a VO over your comms systems. It's a pilot in the fight above. He explains that the battle is not going well, but that his scanners have traced the ship's source of power to a base on the surface. "Abandon your current objective - we need that shield down now!" Just as the Vex foot soldiers are crashing down on you, everyone involved in the public event whips out their Sparrows to follow a new waypoint: the shield generator. Unfortunately, it's deep inside one of the many caves/firebases/etc. and your team needs to fight its way inside. Once you reach the generator, you pull out your Ghost and instruct it to begin hacking through the generator's security shields. After fighting a few waves of enemies and a token boss fight, the Ghost is able to power down the generator and your team is free to destroy it. Your Ghost compliments your heroics but reminds you the battle is not over. You need to bide your time until the dogfighters can take out the ship above. Vex begin descending on the front door of the base you've infiltrated and they need to be beaten back before you are overrun. The Vex push forward relentlessly, and just when you think your team is through, the ship above is destroyed in a grand explosion. A shockwave ripples over the planet and Vex all over the surface begin shutting down, their pistons and joints short circuiting as they fall lifelessly to the ground. Light once again shines over the Venusian landscape. Dance party. (The above is more than a little inspired by the final battle in Return of the Jedi, but I think the mission structure would lend itself nicely to Destiny.)

Edit: OP also added this:

Upon further consideration, it'd be bomb if the first objective for the foot soldiers was to reach and defend a distress beacon. The distress beacon would set off an alarm in the Tower, calling all pilots to their ships. A call to arms to defend Venus airspace. Also, to communicate between air and ground squads, the fireteam leaders should get a direct feed in the corner of their HUDs of exactly what the leaders in the other battle are seeing. They could then verbally update their squad on the progress of the other battle.

I stole the above from here. The OP created his idea from other peoples posts. Any war time events should be like this. My added suggestions were as follows:

This is literally one of the best ideas i have ever heard. We really need this. I would only suggest this, people should have an option about whether or not to opt in to the mission and there should be at least 3-4 different versions of the ship for each enemy type, maybe not have all of them be massive redesigns but just little things like the turrets, enemy fighter spawnpoints, obstacles and weakness being in different places, to make each experience a little different. You could also add a random element to the enemy spawn to make things more interesting, like having several different types of fighters for the enemy and having them spawn random types as well as randomized turret placement. It will probably take a while for Bungie to create this if they listen, but I will look forward to something like this in the future.

This would be awsome Like a army of gaurdians launch an assault on a massive enemy stronghold with those air craft you see hovering at the tower flying in and dropping off people that join and when you join you will be inside of it then walk out when it lands then everyone fights across this wasteland with lots of craters and rocks and stuff for cover then break into the stronghold and wipe out the massive amount of enemies inside to win Then after one side wins after a minute the game will reset and the battle will start over again Just imagine that, it would be awesome I apologize in advance for my poor grammar which makes me sound like a 12 year old
