Are Exotics too easy to get?
I think they are, and when everyone gets one (mostly from Xûr) they don't feel like an accomplishment! Who agrees?
Edit 1: it has come to my attention that maybe i'm just lucky enough to have gotten so many strange coins, but i think the solution would be class specific engrams and weapon engrams!
Edit 2: I'm not trolling! It's just that when i got my exotic helmet and bounty for Super Good Advice, i didn't get as pumped as i thought i would... They're supposed to be hard to get but they're not! Maybe i'm just lucky, but this is my opinion!

The only exotics I have was a chest piece I bought from Xur. I have had terrible luck in trying to get a weapon. When I did the nightfall, both my teammates got exotics. I got 11 ascendant energy...

1 Replyexotics are easy not much better then legendary though. .. if Any one remembers thunder fury or sulfrons hammer from wow they were near impossible to get. if bungie implemented items that hard to get on desTiny, half of the people on here would lose their Mind, and complain about it every Second topic. like they are right now for vex mytho what ever which is still easy to get compared to gear on other games

10 RepliesDirect Exotics MAY be too easy to get, but has anyone else undergone some of these bounties? Especially the hand cannon one? My main question is: if you have to kill 500 guardians with Void(a feat within itself that's sure to take you weeks or longer if you're not pro at crucible) then why do deaths slow your progress? I've probably killed a good 50 with void but the highest I've ever got the bounty was 7/500 because I keep getting killed, respawn and cheezer killed by the very person that just killed me because I spawn around the very corner they're turning into with my back to them. I think it only registers as 3 right now and its pissing me off.

I have 4 and I am working on a bounty for fifth, you have to work for coins even to buy from xur so it's as much work as somebody getting one from a random drop from going 1-18 in crucible and getting lucky. So there is no "work" in this game unless you are talking about one of the raid guns which also involves luck. For the non raid exotics so far I am underwhelmed I don't think they are vastly superior to good legendary stuff except for suros whose range is incredible. I have an exotic rocket launcher Gallahad but prefer my Legendary that can hold 3 rockets in a clip.

hard to say, some havn't seen any some many, i've 2 weapons and one armor and i've disassembled 4 and have had the bounties 3-4 times but only bothered to do them once. guess it's souly rng

2 RepliesI just got my first one today after playing nonstop since the game came out. Some people just get lucky as -blam!- with the rng. Ive never seen somebody get one after a crucible match. Only on youtube lol.

I agree 100%. I've posted this in other threads but have only gotten negative feedback. Strange coins are too easy to get. And exotics just don't have any value to them once everyone has the exact same one. Exotics(from Xur) are just fashion trends that people typically change every few weeks. It's ridiculous

I dont think exotics are to easy to get, coins can be a hassle sometimes, but I think they should be randomized somehow so that exotic weapons like the suros would not be the most common weapon in the game.

as the ONLY exotic i have is from xur im gonna say no. pouring hours and hours into crucible strikes dailies weeklies and queens missions xur is the only bright spot in my exotic search. ive been stuck at 27 with a purple scout rifle for days now and the grind is wearing thin.

Buying straight from Xur--yes. Bounties take a little more effort. Of course there are those that don't like the PvP-side of the bounties.

I have 4 days into the game total, only 3 exotics total with all 3 of my characters... not any exotic weapons. So i disagree haha.

I think they are to easy to get. Xur shouldn't exisit in my opinion. I have no problems with the bounties though, they are a challenge in most cases. Other than bounties I believe exotics should only come from raids, nightfall strikes, and a considerable crucible milestone.

They are way too easy to get.. I've gotten all 3 exotic weapons from xur so far, a fourth from an engram, a fifth from my bounty plus another exotic bounty on the way.

I like the idea of class specific engrams. That way you will get something different than most other people, but still be guaranteed an item for your class. That would be great in my opinion. But to be honest I haven't been really lucky with exotics until super recently. I bought one from Xur, I got one bounty for invective and I was awarded Ice Breaker in the crucible (and I wasn't even last for that one, I was second). This all happened in the span of a weekend.
