exploiting nightfall
So, this is a thing.
Having a guy hide during the boss fight, let the other two do all the work, they die and leave fire team and rejoin on the guy hiding.
You can even go to the tower and restock ammo synths.
Bungie, please fix this. This is absolutely absurd. Grow a goddamn pair and fight the boss legit. Hell, it's not even that hard but hey, I got someone on my friends list that took three hours to beat the nightfall today (and had to use this exploit to finally win), got the -blam!-ing Monte Carlo for doing this shit and it took two of my other friends to run through it, legit, in 20 minutes.
At least I got 7 ascended shards... no ps4 exclusive weapon for us playing it straight up.

Or you could just buy ammo in the tower before attempting anything with juggler on, like normal people do. Either way doesn't effect me, so I don't care either way.

1 ReplyWho cares what other people do? Why does what other people do matter so much to everyone in this game? It's not exploiting. All you're doing is hiding just like you would do any other strike. You're suppose to take cover and if there is a place where you can't get shot then that's the point. If other people leave and come back oh well. The mission was to defeat the boss. Not cry how people do it

Could you imagine the community uproar if this actually went through? You get a centipede, caterpillar, or so on how are you supposed to rejoin your fire team? Are you forced to restart by yourself or tell your fire team to quit so everyone can restart. Bungie cannot do anything about this issue until there connection is 100% and last time I checked that's physically impossible.

2 RepliesI think that the game should be played how it's supposed to when it comes to stuff like this. Destiny is a gift from Bungie that shouldn't be abused. Finding little loop holes is something that irritates me. But I guess you can just call people who don't do it out. They're unlegit and probably don't deserve the rewards they get.

Why would there be any reason to cheat? This weeks nightfall is super easy. Just get three people with arc damage sniper rifles and it takes no more than 30 minutes.

5 RepliesAnd if you didn't use the exploit you would have had to waste another 3 hours on it attempting it again with the possibility of failing again. Some people just don't have more than 3 hours to play so if an exploit will allow me to go to work on time than you better bet your ass I'm using it. My job is more important than a game. Anyone would agree with me unless your Bungie.

1 ReplyThis post has taught me that a handful of you have real integrity and a desire to play the game the way it's intended, challenging yourselves to strive for greatness as Bungie wanted. The rest of you just want your shiny things as quickly as possible and with the least amount of effort, even if it means cheating and exploiting game mechanics. I may have been frustrated at the time of my OP, however I wasn't whining or crying. Just simply frustrated at that moment and felt the need to let someone know about, what I believe to be, a big exploit in the way the joining system works. I'm not crying any tears, it's not keeping me up at night and I'm not telling anyone what to do (though I am telling you exactly what you are doing if this is your method, cheating), but I am trying to bring attention to the issue in hopes that it can be addressed. Also, thank you all for keeping this thread going for longer than any thread I've posted previously. :)

I could tell you that no matter what, you can only do nightfall once per week on each character. But now, F that. Honestly, I was surprised when Bungie allowed people to join the game when others were in restricted zones. I don't think you should be able to join during a restricted zone fight.

6 RepliesYou know that every strike has a location where the whole team can safely sit and shoot the boss.... so there's not even a reason for one person to hide then re invite. In my opinion, they shouldn't even have these locations. This game is mad easy and everyone has the best weapons and gear already. There's no diversity. But yes I also agree that they should remove the re inviting.

So what (?) i say it's a nice strategy. I know it's easy playing nightfall on current level which is 29 but this doesn't mean i can't die. If i die, i have to redo everything again and for a weak reward, its not worth my time. Me and my friend beat the nightfall of this week and the rewards were laughable. He got 10 strange coin which is cool but i got a legendary engram and guess what it changed to? a green weapon (lmao) Bungie can't fix this because if they do and you or your friends get disconnected for some reason then you'll be all alone, you will die and have to redo everything again. If they patch this for everything like strikes, vault of glass then 70% of all players will say "bye bye destiny" Why? because destiny server is horribly unstable, and you'll be kicked out to "orbit" constantly XD

I hid in back room and when my team wiped I would stealth in and revive them. Then I would go back to hiding. But I see that other way as an extremely cheap way of doing it

If it was a huge deal which it's not all they would need to do to fix this is make it like raid respawns give a revive timer for people who join in mid strike and put there respawns zone somewhere in the middle of the actions keeping normal deaths the same to where u can be revived instantly... But honestly it's not THAT big of a deal they knew about this issue because again look how raids are. And how you spawn into them when u join mid raid

My raid team did the raid twice, nightfall, and the daily mission in less time than their nightfall "exploit". As far as exploits go, that sounds like a pretty ineffective one.

Same as doing it with a hunter. Hunter hides others fight. Someone dies, hunter goes invisible and heals, goes back to hide. Win.

6 RepliesI think I figured out why there's so much complaining. It must be because you're all too young to drink and/or can't find someone to have sex with you. Because I sure as he'll know that if something in a game pisses me off, either option would be better then going online to cry and moan.

1 ReplyThis is the worst way to exploit the boss EVER. When you come in boss room on the back right...run to the front right, hide behind the boxes, the boss will stand above you trying to melee you but will be unable to hit you and you can empty your magazines into his head. <---- way faster, takes 5 minutes. If you're going to cheese the boss do it right. I would advocate just fighting the boss normally, as its challenging and fun, but if you're just in it for the kill...
