OMG! Just realized that a movie I saw in the theatres had scenes cut!

I didn't know until I found those scenes on a special feature part of the bluray!!! This is total bs. I had to spend an extra $25 to actually see the entire movie! I'm going to the theatre tomorrow to demand my money back! To think they charged me FULL PRICE when the movie didn't actually have every original scene!!

Instead your rant should be: I saw this awesome trailer for Batman Dark Knight and when I saw it in theaters for $20 it was just the trailer... Then I think you'd be upset. That's called a bait and switch. Everyone loves "deleted scenes" on special editions, but you shouldn't leave out the meat and potatoes. Gravy is debatable. Also, notice how most trailers depict scenes from the actual movies (in same cases, yes, all the good parts). No one complains at the end of a movie and says "HEY! Where's that scene from the trailer?!" That's because they at LEAST deliver what they advertise. Not really the case here. *edit* I have to edit. Some really great counter points to my argument above. Hobbit, Transformers (4), and the Lego Movie all depicted shots that weren't in the final cut of the films. To add, how many felt jipped that they didn't see those scenes in the movie or that the movie was worst because that scene wasn't there? Transformers 4 pained me because of this. Dinobots were in every trailer like they would dominate the screen time and in fact they only have the last 5 minutes. Really upset me about the whole thing. Anyone else? Cheers.

    • Even better, you can bet they had the director's cut version already ;) while you were watching it in cinema and the placeholder scenes you probably saw already :D

      • Lovely.I assume this is a satirical parody of the "Locked disc content" Debate that is going on in the forums. However, your analogy does not work here. Those scenes in your film were most likely cut out for a reason. And those scenes were never on the film in the first place. They were just added there when it released on the DVD/Blu ray. This however, does not work for bungie. You see, most of the upcoming DLC content,is already on the disc..That's bullshit. The difference between DLC,and specials scenes however,is that those scenes were most likely not planned to ever go on the disc. Hate to be frank, but you people are really annoying. You have a grasp of the satire, and the joke. But the metaphor does not work,if you had done about 5-10 minutes of research, you would have seen why.

        • This is still a bit different. While cut content and scenes are nothing but ordinary and expected, the entire removal of the story, characters, and plot that was marketed as part of the game is absolutely ridiculous. How would you like it if you saw the trailer for a movie containing characters, plot details, and locations that were absolutely amazing and you couldn't wait to see it, but as you sit down to watch the movie you've been so patiently and enthusiastically waiting for, you realize that a good majority of what you've seen and heard prior to watching the movie is completely different from what you got? It's a terrible, terrible feeling.
