Destiny may cause divorce

Ok I know that it is probably ridiculous to air your "dirty laundry" on the internet but I am in dire need of suggestions answers, or counseling lol. I have been playing video games since 1979 and my wife knows my number one hobby is video games, I work a lot of hours and have a stressful job as I manage six different businesses in ONE office by myself! That being said I "unwind" of an evening by playing destiny. Let me get to the point here folks so your not snoring at the end of my whining heh. I joined a group that were trying to play through the vault of glass and she overheard a female voice on my headset and completely flipped out on me. "now you have a girlfriend to play games with you I hope your happy" was her statement. And continued to badger me so I had to turn my MIC off so the other players couldn't hear her yelling at me. I was extremely embarrassed because I know the other players heard the first part of her yelling. As a side note I have been with her for eleven years and we two kids together, and no I have never cheated on her EVER I have morals. So she has no reason to distrust me. She now checks to see if I am talking with a female on the headset every time she walks into the room, I then offer to hand her the MIC to check. I feel like I am not supposed to even do what I have done for 35+ years which is play games and destiny requires you to have other members play along side you in missions and or strikes, have even explained to her I needed a group of six players along for the VOG so I am at a loss here. Am I doing something wrong by playing with females on a damn video game? I don't think so! Any thoughts advice you can give me (male or female) is greatly appreciated... Many thanks for your time!

I would really love to give you advice on this, but I had a falling out with a significant other of almost 3 years because of League of Legends. She would rather play it then spend time with me, to the point where she broke up with me because we never did anything. Edit: I meant to add that I didn't give advice because anything I would say I'm afraid wouldn't be of much use.
