Continue grinding rep with faction after level 3?
Today I reached level 3 with FWC which is the highest level currently needed to make purchases from the vendor. I received a legendary Sniper called 'The Chosen' in the mail. The sniper descriptions reads to the effect that it's an FWC weapon, bla bla but it's unavailable to actually purchase from the FWC vendor.
My question is - do you receive gifts from your faction for each level after 3 (similar to the cryptarch)? Should I take this time to level up with other factions as well? -Or- continue to grind out rep with FWC in hopes for future gifts/higher level purchases?
TL;DR - should I continue grinding rep after level 3 with FWC or move to next faction?

3 RepliesEvery faction or rankable vendor like the cryptarch, crucible masters, vanguards, FWC, Dead Orbit and New Monarchy all give you gifts in the mail at level 3, and every level you achieve after that. Their may be a max level of 25 if I heard right though, but don't quote me on that. So you can continue to rank up FWC and receive gifts every level, or start a new faction to buy their rewards as well.

I got one of the dead orbit shaders when I got them to rank 9, it's equipped on my hunter now, I love it :)

I understand you can get exotic cloaks as one poster mentioned but something else attainable is faction starships. I'm currently trying to get Dead Orbit high enough to get one but they are random just like weapons and armor. My Cryptarch rank is like 37 but I don't think that faction has a ship. High faction can also award you randomly with armor shaders and sometimes even nameplates. They're just really rare. Been playing since launch and I've picked up one nameplate and maybe four shaders besides the ones I've purchased.

2 RepliesToday after much grinding I reached lvl 4 with dead orbit. Got a crucible commendation and 1 strange coin. No weapon. No armor. Did this change?

5 RepliesI am at rank 10 with fwc. They have a exotic hunter cloak called Chaos Cloak. Its suppose to be obtainable when you reach a high enough rank with the faction. Still have not gotten it.

Yea you do, my new monarchy is rank 5 and I have been getting legendaries from the mail each time its ranked. :)

From what I've heard (I haven't hit level 4 with any faction yet), you keep getting gifts from each faction, each time you level up with them (the Cryptatch is the most visible example of this kind of reward system). I would also imagine that, as the game develops, having a higher level with factions will eventually give you access to new stuff.

Its up to u maye, all i can say is yes every level u go up with them from 3 upwards u get a gift (normally legendary) apparently u may get faction shaders and things aswell but the choice is yours
