The next 2.5 months are vital.

Many of us feel like we're playing a half made-game, one that has a beautiful engine and an incredible infrastructure, but lacks a story that we care about or an amount of fresh content that matters. I believe these next two and a half months are important. It's the way that Bungie reacts to our criticism that may make this game into something absolutely mind blowing, or potentially confirm their lack of control over Destiny. We know why we're disappointed, so lets get vexy and whip up some potential outcomes for these next few months prior to the paid DLC, The Dark Below, coming out to peer at what realistically may happen. A. Start with the worst case scenario. Absolutely jack for content is added prior to The Dark Below. Iron Banner doesn't count, Queens Wrath doesn't count. By content I mean new places to explore or things to do that did not exist at launch. If there is nothing, nothing at all, just patches and voice chat, I'm going to be pissed. We were told the game would expand and grow over time, and my assumption was that we'd get a full product at launch, and then it would be expanded on after launch. I did not expect to get half the game at launch, and pay for the rest over the next 6 months. B. The most do-able scenario that would lower my blood pressure. Add something. Anything. Add literally any bit of content possible before The Dark Below. Maybe it's just some new public events and reworked patrol missions. It doesn't have to be a whole new planet, just something. Even a "Halloween themed Tower" (albeit the bare minimum) would work. C. The original expectation that I'm no longer sure is the case scenario. Okay, so It's half a game at launch, but it's because Bungie is going to roll out bits of content over the next few months before the DLC so we don't get bored. It's the idea of "we want it to grow and be experienced together as a community" style of stuff. Mind you, all of this content would be done or nearly done right now, just awaiting the schedule to be patched in. This would be awesome, really really cool. We'd be down in the dumps about how much less this game has than we thought-, but then, all of the sudden Deej would walk in, pick us up, and shake us saying "New stuff for you friend!", and Jason Jones would be introvertedly watching through the crack in the door with a smile on his face while he began to throw presents full of content at us. Any of these things could happen. Hell, maybe The Dark Below will come out and all the months after that will be loaded with free content. I just see a company that has mostly just given out free stuff in the form of multiplayer maps, moving into the world of an mmo type of game where free updates that add meaty non-multiplayer content isn't unheard of. While it isn't always the best course of action to give things out for free, I think that right now, it's the right thing to do. I very seriously don't believe that those complaining are just spoiled kids, there's legitimacy in what they're saying. Here we are. First round didn't go as well as expected. But the grifball is on your side of the court now Bungie. Capitalize on the criticism, and maybe, just maybe, you'll become legend too.

 • The only thing you are going to get is more dungeons with the same hordes of enemies. Full stop. Do you really think we are going to get something which would require new "program development?" suc as: 1. Actually flying the spaceships 2. Space combats with motherships and fighters 3. Vehicle fights on large maps (not the small areas connected with loading corridors) 4. Really open maps with no walls NOTHING LIKE THAT. Just new dungeons you can play, replay and then replay again over and over. Whatever it is it is not worth the money.
