The titans get catapult for their lvl 3 jump ability upgrade which feels more or less like the normal lift.
On the titan defender we get Ward of Dawn, in the description it says indestructible yet it can be broken. They should make it based on time not damage or at least change the description.
Then the exotic helmet for the defender which blinds enemies is also useless if the shield can be taken down quickly.
If titans are supposed to be like tanks then why can they get one shotted by a shotty in mid super and an arc blader can take about 3-4 shots.
Tell me what you guys think. If I missed something comment below. I would really like to see what other people think about this.

Necrobump!
Lol
I shot a hunter using arc blade point blank with a rocket, killing myself and trying to take them with me. I died and he continued to spam his melee killing my teammates behind me. I'm a titan, and find this unacceptable.
-
having faced titan super and blade dancer i can confirm yours is stronger. one dies to golden gun the other doesnt. one has near instant charge animation, the other has a longer charge animation. one AOEs in a split second one requires dashing between enemies allowing more time to die. I have never one shot a titan with shot gun during super. I have one shot a blade dancer. my results and experiances are completely different to yours. Im more inclined to ask for a titan nerf rather than buff. but i do notice this... Titans hate hunters hunters hate warlocks warlocks hate titans almost without fail...... then again i hate titans on either of my characters. why you cant die like any other crucible player I'm shooting at i will never know.
-
One thing that annoys me is that for the striker it says that when it comes to close quarters the melee is better then any gun....BULL SHIT on my part
-
Shoulder charge instant kill, ground smash multi kill, bubble, over shield. They are overpowered.
-
Why not have ward of dawn instant drain super energy grenade and melee energy for all enemies entering it on top of what it has
-
Every class and subclass is fine as-is. They all just have different playstyles. Titans are meant to keep their feet planted on the ground. They lose almost all of their arsenal and utility while airborne. The jumping ability should not particularly be a cause for concern. As everybody knows, how is the best way to counter a Super? Another Super. It makes sense that one Super can be trumped by another one. Also, there is a rumor that Arc Blade's Razor's Edge ability can travel UNDER the Ward of Dawn. I'm still waiting to see if this is confirmed. There's going to be a new Exotic Titan helmet called Glass House, which increases the duration and potency of Blessing of Light and Weapons of Light. So, your shield may, for all intents and purposes, become a stop-and-shop. No need to worry about the shield blinding people when you can just outgun them anyway. Titans are the hardest out of the 3 classes to kill mid-super. They have the shortest activation time.
-
Titans are fine IMO I do better with my Titan than do with my Warlock in PVP (I play defender so no shoulder charge and even when I was still leveling striker I'd forget about it). Whenever I see these threads about classes needing buffs or nerfs I always leave feeling like it comes down more to play style and/or skill that are the primary factors in people's frustration.
-
Yea catapult seems rather pointless, I just use the first upgrade (Max lift). And...
When I'm a Titan I think I need to be worked on (by dem awoken females).
(•_•)~o-o, (~o-o), Aww yea.

Titan Striker is useless in pvp which is why I'm putting it on hold and I'm leveling up a Warlock to 20 (19 right now) so I can use the Titan's guns and go with the Warlock. I won't complain, if it ever gets fixed I'll return to it, if not I'll do just like everyone else and use Warlock or Hunter. Just don't complain when there's no Titans playing pvp. Here's why I think its useless: 1. The melee needs to be really close to connect. If you're going against a Warlock, by the time you can press melee, you're already seeing purple. 2. Shoulder charge is useless when you need to sprint first on maps that are mostly CQC. 3. Its the only class that needs to be in the spot where it wants the super to deploy (ie, can't throw it at a distance), which never happens because it gets gunned down before it. 4. The "tank" thing is a straight up lie. For all practical purposes, it goes down as easy as the other classes.
-
Titan grenades pale in comparison to the other classes. I get destroyed by warlock and hunter grenades, but they seem to just run right through mine with no problems. Lift is no substitute for the other 2 classes and their teleport. Titans are weak in PvP and it's a damn shame since they are supposed to be the tanks.
-
Titan is perfect the way He's now, i'll just ban the shoulder tackle XD
-
My main character is a titan, lvl 29 almost 30.. I feel the titan is exactly where it needs to be. You are only as good as your knowledge of subclass. There is a good balance between all three classes.

Edited by Futilelyte: 11/4/2014 8:22:16 PMYou guys need to try catapult again! I will be pissed if they remove catapult for stupid blink! Pro Titan tip: spam A 4 times as fast as you can with catapult on. You launch forward. I've been using this to catapult shotgun kids in the crucible all day. Also stack Titan agility. Catapult also works just as effective backwards. Shotgun deaths just aren't an issue for me when I catapult
-
I think titans need a serious buff. Catapult is one of them. Doubt anyone uses it. It should be much faster. I also dont like the fact that if you run too much shoulder charge goes which is stupid same for juggernaut. Never see anyone using juggernaut.
-
I've shot a Titan mid super with Golden Gun before, only to get smashed to pieces. So, if the logic you are going with is that Titan should be invincible during their supers, then I would like to propose that Golden Gun is a 1 shot KO no matter what.
-
I had a match yesterday with my Titan where I went 40-4. You just need to know how to play the Titan. The striker Titan is a cqc character with all the melee abilities, close range super, and using armamentum (sp?) exotic chest to have extra nades and special ammo. I play my Titan with Plan C equipped and usually a Pulse Rifle like Bad Seed Down and play to his strengths. Tend to play well in Crucible.

No one is over powered and yes catapult is useless. And they could take indestructible outta description or use timer
-
Edited by BrakerFluidAddict: 11/3/2014 6:29:07 PMYou can choose from a one hit meelee with no cool down, just need to sprint, or a shield while sprinting..... and now you don't want to be able to get killed in one hit from a super?
-
Yeah, Golden Gun description says it "..disintegrates enemies with Solar Light...", but some enemies actually survive! Bungie, buff this piece of crap! Now, to be serious, Titans have no reason to be buffed. The only thing that can destroy a Ward of Dawn is a Super, which is fair enough. Everything else would take too long to be efficient. Fist of Havoc is unstoppable and unbeatable. Don't like catapult? Okay, don't use it... duh. The bubble can't be taken down quickly without a super, as previously stated, and the blinding helmet is waaaay more centered to PvE due to the fact mobs are completely taken out of commission by it.
If titans are supposed to be like tanks then why can they get one shotted by a shotty in mid super and an arc blader can take about 3-4 shots.
I don't think this even needs stating. Arc Blade completely removes ALL ranged offensive options. If you died faster than a vanilla Titan, something would be -blam!-ing wrong. Not to mention Arc Blade only takes two close ranged shotgun shots to kill. There have been plenty of cases where I get killed surprisingly fast while using it.
-
It is fine as is.
-
This is off topic but I'd like to say this to every Gunslinger hunter out there that thinks they should have a shield when they use Golden Gun...it's a ranged super attack, the supers that get shields are close range supers, so stop complaining because you can't get every shot off because you die before the fact.
-
Since we're talking strictly pvp, by ur post, I'll say no. I do fairly well in PvP with my Defender. As long as you use your bubble strategically, with the Helm of Saint-14, you should come out on top more often than not.
-
My only problem with titans in pvp is when I got to activate my bubble and I die during the activation period. Give me my armor of light buff while activating it too, or a decent damage reduction like the blade dancer. This happens the most when I fly above a control point being taken by 2+ opponents and want to slam my bubble down on them. It is nice though that I get my super back in these instances.
-
Edited by Cypher02xd: 11/4/2014 5:36:00 PMMy only gripe with the titan is that from what I can see from searching online, a maxed titan has the same defense stat (from armor) as a hunter at lvl 30. If I'm supposed to be a tank and move slower because of that, I want my defense to be through the roof since I move slower than the rest! If I am wrong that so be it and I humbly retract my statement.
-
I do! Please bungie, fix catapult jump! Doesnt do anything!
