I posted this comment in a different thread, but I think here, it will gain even more support and traction. As we know, Xur comes two days a week during the weekends and sells all sorts of goods for strange coins and motes of light. You can buy exotic weapons and armor straight from him. That's cool, but also, that's a problem. This saturates the community with exotic weapons and armor. As we know, the Suros Regime was on sale last weekend and many players bought it. Many players complained of this and states that everyone has the Suros Regime and the crucible is now a Suros party (lol). Well that is somewhat true. Not only that, players will be wearing the same armor and same load outs as many other players. How exactly will you feel unique? I understand that players need a way to obtain exotic weapons and armor because many are having a very tough time with doing so. My suggestion now is that Xur should sell [b][i][u]exotic bounties[/u][/i][/b] instead of selling the exotic weapons and armor up front. Instead of costing 23 or 13 strange coins/ motes of light for Xur's goods, set the price at 17 strange coins and 12 motes of light (I'm just throwing out reasonable numbers. These are debatable). I believe there are only 6 bounties available and offer 6 different weapons. New bounties can be made of course for each exotic armor and exotic weapon and 3 to 5 will be cycled through each time Xur appears, at random. Before players comment and say "I don't like doing exotic bounties because it forces me to play PvP to earn the exotic gear", let me explain to you how things should work regarding exotics. They are perhaps the best weapons in the game. The bounties test you in Both PvP and PvE, as those are both aspects of the game. It is only reasonable that you are rewarded with a grand weapon after completing tasks in all areas of the game. After you complete these bounties and received your gear you can truly say "I really earned this" and also, you won't find everyone with the same weapon you earned. After all, it is an exotic right? Now, you're not forced to participate in bounties to earn exotic weapons and armor. You can actually earn them through the crucible and vanguard strike playlist. There's also the night fall strike that refreshes weekly. I received Knucklehead Radar way before Xur sold it last weekend. It came from the nightfall strike. Hard Light was obtained through the vanguard playlist for me. It's all still possible to obtain, folks. Questions and comments are appreciated. Keep it civil.
