Guys who have used upgraded "Super Good Advice" in the Crucible

How awesome is it? Should I look forward to getting this beast? It seems a hell of a lot better then thunderlord. Also which do you prefer? Go ahead answer this even if you just look at the stats and havent used both.

  • No! It's one of the lamest machine guns for PVP. A regular uncommon machine is literally 10x better. The super BAD advice bucks like a wild bronco, it will hit everything BUT the target. Even with the perk that returns missed shot to the gun, it still doesn't do justice. Because you'll be dead before you kill your enemy with the returned ammo from the 30 shots that missed. This is coming from someone who is really good with recoil control. I use hand cannons in PVP and do very well. But this gun is seriously not exotic material. Yet alone acquiring

  • Super good advice is bad in pvp. It has no impact and the rate of fire is crazy. My suggestion is if you ever get SGA, dismantle it and hope your next exotic heavy is thunderlord.

    • Not so good in PVP, but it's pulled me out of some tight spots on solar burn PVE missions

    • Thunderlord destroys in pvp. 4 head shots is a kill and with the stability upgrade you can get that easily. I've gone the majority of the game using just thunderlord.

      • The recoil is atrocious, have to be fairly close to actually hit something. Annihilates stuff in close range in PVE but I swap to a blue machine gun that can actually hit across the room in pvp

      • Sucks in crucible. Better off using a rare.

Rocket launchers are by far superior in the Crucible. With the lag and general erratic movement of human players, splash damage is much more effective. Edit: I have Super Good Advice and it is hard to control under sustained fire.

          • There are only a few stats that make it's way in the Crucible. Mag size, RoF, range, accuracy/recoil, and some minor perks that have very little influence. Everything else is scaled to be the same as far as damage and impact are concerned. If you take the Crucible seriously you'll go out and find weapons are even Uncommon but have the stats that are useful to your playstyle and use them in the Crucible because even if your Auto Rifle has 300 damage it's no more powerful than an Auto Rifle with 76 damage.
