Level 20 - 30 is a long, hard process with a lot of luck in between. It does offer some extra stuff, the raid being the main one. When all is done and you've completed the raid, you have the best gear, legendaries/exotics you name it, what is there to work for? I thought this was simply a level cap but the more I think about it I don't believe that to be the case, should it be raised then legendaries would eventually become the new uncommon and God like weapons/armour would be needed to compensate.
Just a thought, is all xD Anyone have any insight on this? :P
EDIT: Just to clarify, this isn't for me personally, I haven't got enough time to make it to 30 anytime soon, just speculating on what the game has to offer to those who have got there so fast.

Im level 29 and still have so much fun burning away hours of time playing. Then again Im not all caught up in the shitstorm that has become the bungie.net community recently so Im still having fun.

It's a FPS. You play the game and enjoy the combat just as you would any other FPS game. If this isn't enough, you can also do one of the following: - socialize with others in the tower (voice chat coming) - help others get through the raid on normal and hard difficulty - wait for the DLC - make a new character or recreate your lvl 30 character - perfect your equipment/armor build

Edited by o_____________o: 9/29/2014 1:38:33 PMYou play a better game such as call of duty or titanfall.
-
Obtain every exotic item in the game. That'll pass some time for ya.
-
Replaying everything a billion times

Profit

Try to get the "rarest" weapon in the game, Vex Mythoclast, then hoard exotic/legendary gear for a level 20 warlock and titan I plan on making. However, before all that I need to hit 30 first.
-
Then you play the game!
-
Who else read "with a lot of fu-ck in between"?
-
After 30, you make a new class and do it again :P
-
You either continue playing for fun, start a new character or move onto another game until new content drops. More content will come in time. Have patience.
-
What happens after level 30..Well,you start the waiting game next of course!
-
LOLZ!!! long and hard *trollface*
-
I'm confused. How does end game RPG work?!?!?!!

Destiny reveals the other 90% of their content and them sends Bungie assassins to kill you while you sleep
-
Your PS4 blows up
-
Stevie wonder plays after you've reached level 30 and you get a weapon shaped like a piano
-
Nothing....you have a couple choices. Either you turn off the game and wait for more content or you keep grinding away for more gear, either with a new character or your original one.

DLC, DLC, DLC, DLC, DLC, DLC
DLC stands for Disc Locked Content
The meaning of life will be revealed before you and some god (or you god) will look deeply into your soul as you are ascending to become an immortal citizen of the awesome domain of exploring the vastness of other universes and dimensions. Or wait till next DLC to raise level cap.

This game is more than a level cap, the wealth of content that is available now and will become available is massive. It will be a very short game for some who just want to get to level 30 and stop. You can always work on upgrading vanguard/crucible rep, leveling your cryptarch up to get ready for possible future additions where that will matter, anything really. There seems to be a small percentage of people who finished the story at level 10-15, sat at the loot cave until 20 and got their light to 25/26, then got lucky on a few VoG runs. I can see how these people would need more content.
-
You come to forums complaining there is nothing to do in the game anymore.
-
You become the cryptarch, welcome to god mode.

Long and hard? Its been 2 weeks and I'm 24 without that much effort just time. But basically I have the same type of questions as you. So the expansions come out in a couple of months.... do you have to be level 30 to play them? if so its a ripoff for those who are not as they wont be able to continue on. However if you don't have to be level 30 then what was all the leveling for? So you can one shot your way through the new missions? I know MMOs have been around a while and probably have solved this issue (even though this is not an MMO) but I can only see bad things coming of this right now.

You and all other lvl 30 players end up regenerating the traveller but in a scene very similar to the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark where beams of light burn your bodies and melt your faces...
