Missing content - How strange it all is?

I've been reading a lot about the missing content, I am not too bothered about it at the moment and will pass full judemgent based on the time between now and the DLC release and the quality of the DLC content. However what bothered me a lot about Destiny is that they seem to have missed a few nice things which would have made all the difference. I believe this was due to needing, possibly requested by Activision, to make the game work on PS3 and 360, and making the expierence as uniformal as possible across them even though we can't play cross platform. We may be looking at the game being butchered due to limitations on technology, like the moon planet that we see, that would probably cause a high load for PS3/360 and be unplayable due to the amount of folliage, so instead they have removed it. This could have happened with a number of other things, and before they knew it the story was gone and they had to do something to fix it, thus leaving us with what we have today. A great game in my opinion (nearly 90+ hours in) but with obvious failings. In a ViDoc video that has been posted, which shows a lot of what the game appeared to be originally, there is one clip which really hit home for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=EwOUi4JDC4o#t=142 This shows a ship, from the front, dropping into orbit and then you can see the Traveler on earth, and the ship heads towards the Traveler and the last city! This makes perfect sense and looks amazing. There is also a very short clip showing a ship flying past the Traveler. Anyway to me its the little things that make the difference, and instead of making it different they have gone down a much more generic road. Grimoire Not being able to see that in game is crazy! Why do I need to go to "bungie.net" to view my stats, total kills and read the lore? Bungie if you really wanted Grimoire cards to be unique and fun and a way to learn the history then why not use the technology you have to hand and make some videos that show the story? That wouldn't be too difficult and stuff like Ares One you have already made and shown. But wouldn't it have been amazing to have been a member of that 3 person crew, and you got us to walk to the Traveler, look at the landscape etc. Then quickly move on 100 years to show us exploring Venus and the first run in with the Vex, again a small playable walk-through, nothing fancy, no need to kill enemies, just interact with the story and maybe help in some way. Again another 100 years later we are shown as part of some team who get caught up in a fire fight and you are battling your way through a large horde of the Hive. You attempt to escape in your ship but it gets shot down entering Earths orbit and you are lost! Cut then to the opening scene of the actual game, the Ghost was looking for us because we had been involved in a lot of the history, we plays a pivotal role, and now that he has the power to resurrect he wants to bring us back to continue the fight! As the Traveler has extended human life span this can easily be explained as being the same person, giving your character a back story and some history. Some may say that would then mean everyone shares the same back story, but we all do anyway, we all got resurrected in the same traffic jam with no explanation!
