Give us the real reason why we can't play.UPDATE, FIXED!

Do you really think that its just a few people having disconnection issues? I believe it's in the tens of thousands, because NOT EVERYONE that has issues posts on the forum about them. With that being said, Bungie please be direct and straight with us. I've had disconnection issues from day one. I've spent HOURS reading your troubleshooting section. I've learned more about network troubleshooting in the last three weeks than in my entire life. I've spent HOURS on the phone with my isp making sure everything is set up right. (If you dont believe me you can call them yourself, teleconnect communications ) I just want to know, is it our connections or your servers? Because if it is on our side, and theres thousands of ppl that have bad service, and just can't connect to your game, It's NOT RIGHT that you did not mention this before launch and allowed so many people to purchase a game that they cannot play. I looked up the info before I bought the game because I know that I don't have the fastest service, and I found an article (that has since dissapeared) with a bungie spokesperson saying something around the lines that slow internet would not be an issue. It's also strange that you never gave us a required speed to run the game. It would be great if you could write something on the website or forum that explains the minimum requirements to run the game! At least we'll know! Thank you for taking the time to read this. UPDATE: I found a solution (with no help from bungie) I called Verizon, my cell phone sevice, and upgraded my data plan to 30 gigs.(there running a special on data right now) This is about what I was paying for my internet service they had in my apartment. I use my phones hotspot and It works great now. No disconnects. I use about 500megs of data on roughly 4 hours of playtime. Bungie should really have warned about the actual speed requirements to run the game smoothly. I still feel as though a lot of people might have gotten cheated with that. For all of you going through the disconnect problems, I hope this helps!

  • trust me your not missing much. the game looks amazing and the story is interesting but the whole thing feels like watching prometheus for the first time. They have no answers to even the most basic questions in the story, the loot system is so bad it's sickening. you spend an hour killing a boss that is extreamly hard with three friends and when he dies he drops nothing at all. they created this large expansive world that they said would make people want to explore but they filled it with NOTHING! There are rocks over here just like there are rocks over there, you grind and grind killing the same bosses and enemies over and over again so you can get rare engrams just to take them to the tower and have them identified as not rare at all. On top of that good luck completing a crucible match without getting booted halfway through for no apparent reason. The entire game feels like a beta or even an alpha, like they left out huge aspects of the game on purpose so they can sell them to you later. the store is interesting but not that interesting bungie. the game feels like corporate tore large chunks of it out so they can sell them later. It's very VERY sad and pathetic that bungie let this happen.

      • Too bad. Bungie isn't on here to help and there is no contact info to log a complaint. They got my money and seem to be giving me the big F.O. I've got a 250mbs connection. I'm pinging in the teens. My end is great and the game worked for the first 12 hours after I bought it. The problem is on their end. BF4 works great. In fact every other game I have works great. High five bungie. You made a great game that can't be played, even on single player.

        You are not alone. I spent time home from work troubleshooting this game. I know it is not a problem with my internet connection or setup. I even paid for a static IP address from my ISP. Nothing changed. Considering I can play every other multiplayer game without issues I am o9f the opinion that this is 100% a Bungie problem and they have wasted a lot of my time.

      • Same here, man. Hardly have problems with other games but definitely never get Kicked out of matches. For the most part I'll play through 90% of a match then abruptly get kicked out without warning (no noticeable lag). I know they already have my money but I didn't purchase the season pass for this very reason. I see no point in investing more money into a game that I get kicked out of about 40% of the time. I'm finding it hard enough to continue investing my time.

      • Havent been able to log in for over 2 hours now.but i can still send this message from xbox one, so it isnt my connection issue. Not happy bungie

      • Minor dc before the last patch. Major afterwards. The servers are very unforgiving when a player ever so slightly lags out. This needs to be adjusted.
