I believe bungie is making a huge mistake with giving out legendary gear for every legendary engram. What is the point in playing if you have all of the gear you want? Isn't the whole point of playing to get better gear? If you can get better gear much easier than it currently is, it will only take away from the longevity of the game. I love the game and I am going to not recommend it to any of my friends anymore if this happens. I know lots of people are complaining about it but you guys need to take a stance and not just conform to anything your community demands. Not all of the people who play the game know what they are talking about and I believe this will be the ruin of the game in general. Farming is also a huge part in games like this and removing farming from the game is just going to kill it as well. Farming is not harmful as you DO NOT have a guaranteed chance of getting any good gear. It would take hours to just get one legendary and it might not even be for your class. If you take out farming and also the gambling aspect, you are just killing a part of your game. Bungie, you need to be smart about this and think about what you are doing. Would Diablo or any other game such as this be successful without random drops? I know it is a different game from Diablo and MMO's but they wouldn't be the games they are with the randomization of drops. 80% of those games are just farming for loot and better gear. If you just have to go do strike missions and for sure get a legendary piece of gear, isn't that worse than farming? It may not seem like it, but doing strikes for legendaries is much easier than farming. Farming IS NOT exploiting the game and IT IS going to make your game last longer. I know Bungie won't listen to this but I really hope that the community takes this into account and helps spread the word.
