The Compact and Convenient Suggestions Thread

This is not a thread for complaining about the most recent updates unless you can back it up with something other than "Bungie has no integrity and is killing the game." This is for actually suggesting fixes or things that will improve the game in your opinion, rather than just criticising decisions that have already been made. Here, I'll lead by example. I don't like the resource-gathering. I don't mind that I need sixteen lots of spirit bloom or helium filaments whenever I want to upgrade my armour, but I do mind that I have to put the game on hold to do it. So, how would I suggest this be fixed? I think resources should be available as rare drops from Vanguard or Crucible activities (helium filaments for moon levels, spinmetal for Earth maps, that kind of connection). That way I can upgrade my armour and weaponry while playing the game, rather than putting everything on hold to go flower-picking. Second on my list of grievances is the Hunter super, for both Bladedancer and Gunslinger classes. I admit I have never played the Gunslinger class, but I've been ended by it a million times in Crucible, so I'm going to assume it suffers from the same PvE problems as the Bladedancer. Here's my issue. In the Crucible, Hunter beats all with its Super. The Warlocks can miss or be taken by surprise, the Titan can mistime the Strike, and the shield is really no good against a Bladedancer. The amount of damage it puts out is frankly unreasonable, and yet, when playing Bladedancer in PvE, my Super is absolutely useless for fighting my way out of a difficult situation. Why is it that a Bladedancer can make the difference between a crushing defeat and a stolen victory in the Crucible, but can't even take a Fallen Captain in a one-on-one scrap with only a two level difference? I think the Hunter's effectiveness in PvE could use a boost and its damage nerfed slightly in Crucible - take it from a guaranteed kill to only a 90% damage. That way, the Hunter could stalk wounded opponents in a manner much more fitting with its rogue-like type, and the arc-knife or solar-gun are not sudden 'Kill Everything' buffs. Third, and finally, the more pressing issue. The Queen's Guard equipment. I, like many, am immensely irritated by the Queen's Wrath event. I can understand the need to remove the Ascendant Shards from the equipment - Five Kill Orders a day, two Ascendant shards per piece of equipment - it doesn't take a genius to work out that a single day of Queen's Wrath bounties will net enough shards to upgrade an entire Guardian's worth of gear. That was not a sustainable system. Do you know what else is not a sustainable system? Giving me the same worthless helmet every damn time I do it. If the Queen's Guard Hood was not better than my Istanu-GNT Razor the first time, it will not be better the second, third or fourth times. Give me a gun or a ship or something once every now and then. Put some variation into the loot drop and I'll be happier. And work something else out with those Ascendant shards, they're bloody hard to get a hold of. Okay. That's about all I have to say on the matter so far. Your turn, Bungie.net. And keep it civil, lads.

  • Also I personally think that the class item is a pointless waste of space especially for warlocks where it isn't even aesthetically different to other varieties of warlock bond. Maybe it would be possible for Bungie to put attributes on them? Such as added discipline, intellect or strength or if it wasn't intended as a booster to the characters being then maybe it causes your character to look like they are on fire or made of diamond or something equally as interesting.
