2 Weeks in and I have lost the desire to play
I have to admit that the game is only 2 weeks old, and it has already gotten semi-stale. With no Matchmaking for the raid, or the daily/weekly missions, I can scratch doing that off my list. Now they are cracking down on loot farming, so the thrill of getting loot is gone. With the RNG Loot system coughing up purples about as often as Republican congressmen actually allow votes to come to the floor, normal farming has become a bore. Strikes never award anything decent. Crucible is just plain horrible. Why do we keep playing?
For the first time since launch, I have no reason to sign on. No desire to even log in to complete a bounty. Exotic bounties are plain impossible, after action reports reward crap and more crap, and even with the cryptarch turning the one or two purples a week I do find into greens, what is the point of playing.
Please, someone give me a reason to play.

Edited by lNlewbie: 9/26/2014 10:01:21 PMYou haven't even beat the raid. I finally got around to doing it last night and it was my most enjoyable experience this far playing Destiny. We were all new and did a full clear. Easier after a few videos and guides are out to give you general strategies for each part. Also check the patch notes for next week. Legendary engrams always give legendaries etc. etc. Obviously once you get close to hitting the level cap there isn't as much content for you. By this time each week you will run out of things to do. You would have you weekly raid/nightfall/heroic strike things completed.

1 ReplyBungie's patching the engram drops, so legendary will always be legendary or better. Blues will be blues or higher. and greens will always be greens, i think. Tiger(the lvl24 one?) Strikes will now net better rewards and higher loot drop, but thats on HIGHER level strikes, not patrols like people were doin. This game needs a social foundation to play, that's what keeps you coming back. If you don't think the game is beautiful, you're crazy. Do you play on XBone?

I was going to remain optimistic about rolled out content to come until I saw The Queens Wrath which is just story missions with an Epic modifier. And then, they nerf the ONLY SOCIAL PART OF THE GAME which is cave farming. Oh and that Legendary gear you get from the Queen now won't even give you ascendant shards for breaking it down. I'm right there with you for leaving. I'll play again when DLCs drop.

I only get to play around...3 days every 2 weeks with my job and I'm even getting bored with it. Sucks I can't play as often and get gear and be able to to do the VoG but everyone seems unable to even get past it without a close knit group. So yeah...hopefully later on with the DLC it'll get better.
