Why is there not a trading system?

If the game is based on teamwork and they want us to work together than why can't we better each other through trade? I have got armour pieces that aren't for my class but were for my friends class, and I wanted to be able to give him it but I couldn't, cause there is no trade. Please Bungie, take this into consideration while making future updates. The achievements of a teammate are parallel to the achievements of a team. Taking away the ability to allow one to not share his rewards is not how a team works. This is why a trade system would be effective, allowing the team to share there rewards with each other. While still having to earn and experience your rewards.

Bungie cannot do player to player trades for shitty materials, in my opinion a auction house is better for trades. But to do trades there has to be a new set economy in destiny for this to work. Set glimmer amounts for rarity of gear, Commons 150 - 250 Uncommons 250 - 500 Rares 1000 - 2500 Legendary 10000 - 25000 Exotics 50,000 - 100000 More marketing, Barber, hairstyles new facial looks. Shaders for clothing and guns. Shiny looks, meaning make your character have a special effect around them. Example flames around your character. (2000 - 50,000 glimmer) Bigger Vault space for a price. Restocks, More frequently on vendors means more content. Bigger maximum glimmer in pocket, 500,000 glimmer or 1,000,000 glimmer. Idk it's my opinion, i seen alot mmos do this and kept non exploitable.

    • Imo the only needed trading system in this game would be a system to help out your Friends. EXAMPLE: I was doing the weekly nightfall with a Friend, as reward i Got a legend weapon which i did not really need, but my Friend still running around in rare weapons did need it. It would be great if you could trade stuff you obtained, with a person you completed that content with. That way the Value of items wont be harmed.

      • trading would ruin the game, you would have everything handed to you just like in borderlands, if there as a trading system I would say no trading legendarys an exotics. then maybe it would be ok

      • Trading is key in MMO's and open world games. I agree that people might be getting off too easy with friends giving them their legendary guns and armor, but still... Trading encouradges teamplay, social behaviour and making friends. Things that Destiny at this moment clearly lack, no options to be social at all. Besides enable the trade possibility i would like a few other options to put in on a short notice: - Already announced, but needs to be done quickly: Voice chat in random matchmaking events. - Text-chat options in the tower + optional voice chat options. - More missions/strikes/raids for fireteams larger than 3 players. - Raids where lower level players can participate in, so clans and groups wont be forced to divide. - Rewards that actually RELATE to your class. Why do i, a hunter, get an exotic Titan chest armor which i cannot use and cannot trade? Glad i got 3 abscendant shards for it, but still shaking my head over such a waste of good material.

        • What if the only way you could trade Items was it you and another person traded an item of equal value. Like legendary for a legendary or legendary for a high amount of glimmer. Also exotics can't be traded. They'd be bound to that specific character and or account

        • Auction house and higher glimmer cap. A lot higher. Start an economy. Adds more content for people. You'll have people that love to work for their gear like me, and you'll get people that would rather farm glimmer and buy it. I also think they should add durability loss so we have more stuff to spend glimmer on and not stay capped. <-- my opinion

          • I read it because they want you to earn your armor and tell the story of earning it or something like that.

              • Because you need to get everything by achieving it, not having someone give it to you.

                • Trading also opens the door for RMT people to exploit the game for profit.

                • IMO, a trade system would be completely unfair for all the people who've put countless hours into grinding for there gear. Why should someone that just started the game be able to have a friend give them any extra legendary/exotic gear? Then all these new players will never understand the grind it takes to achieve those and the satisfaction it gives after a hard grind grants you some awesome gear. Remember, THE GRIND IS REAL in Destiny. Side note....I think one way a trade system could work would be trading equal/equivalent pieces of gear. For example, you can trade legendary for legendary or exotic for exotic but you can't trade a legendary for a rare.

On most online trading item based games trading opens a great deal of great game play and clanmenship (I call dibs on making up that word). However, it opens the door wide open to the rich get strong (I call it the paypal for junk institution) instead of the people playing the game for hours on end building their depth of character capabilities.
