I want to get some reactions and thoughts on the proposed nerf to the difficulty of Strikes. While playing a lot of missions and Strikes I feel that the way to enjoy all the skills and abilities of this game comes from the intense difficulty that fights can be. Fighting on the edge of life and death every second of a strike is what is fun. Learning to use all your skills and abilities at ones disposal. Then on top of that grouping up with two others combining player skill, abilities and weapons to unite together to cut a swath of destruction into the darkness and rise from the ashes triumphant is a great experience. I have played almost everything two or three levels under what the mobs levels are. This to everyone I play with makes things feel real. When you sprint dodging fire and slide into cover reviving your squad mate and continuing the fight is amazing rush.
Strikes
Strikes are intended to be a fun, combat-filled romp and stomp with a big boss and cool rewards at the end. Better with cooperation, but doable in a pick up group.
Since launch we've tracked down an issue which has made Strikes more challenging than originally designed by both increasing damage taken by players and decreasing the damage inflicted by players on the boss. Expect to see this addressed soon, and for Strikes to become a little less grindy as a result (sorry, Raiders - incoming damage is working as intended in the Vault of Glass).
