Destiny is a ten year project folks
People, excuse me, "whiners, complainers, and over achievers" talk bad about a game that hasn't been out for a month. You're upset about the difficulty, then turn around and get upset because it's too easy. Upset at something that free (meaning queens wrath) because you can get a legendary easy now. Then get upset because you find legendaries that end up being rare. Upset because the story is too short, but yet you say you really care about the story. Upset about PvP when someone gets something good that didn't do so good in the match, but satisfied when you didn't so good but got something good out it.
This forum is for you.
You have to understand that this is a long term game in the making, allowing you to play as they make it. You pay 60 dollars for a game and get an expansion pass and expect to have everything unlocked within a day or so. That's not how expansions work when a game is fresh in the market. Would you say you would continue playing this game if they We're to put the entire 10 years worth of content on the release day. You would max everything out and play something else. The way I see if you feel that it won't be anymore changes that fit your style of gaming, take the game back to gamestop and play something else. You as the consumer is the reason great games like this get put on the back burner. You are so impatient and lack intelligence to know how to even make a game like this. And besides you say you hate this game and what not but continue to play. So why would you even post anything negative about it.
This is the best game I've ever played.
And for people upset about purple becoming rare I feel your pain. But after research and trials I've come to the conclusion that, Its best to get legendaries from the vendors. I treat engrams as a bonus and luck, that's all it ever was.
For some people who have problems with op in crucible. There is always a counter for something. I won't go into details but look at Gears of war as an example. That shotgun was OP and most shotguns are OP

Its $60 for the base game and then before the game was released they hit us up for another $25-30 in expansion packs. As for free DLC? Well we saw that today with the queen... Then in a year or two they release D2 then D3.. The 10 year plan is for the entire franchise not this game. Each time we spend more money which normally isn't a bad thing when you consider Assassins Creed has a plan that unfolds over YEARS also. Gears of War, Mass effect... same thing over time. I think why most are frustrated is that when the beta came out the cry was "WAIT FOR THE FULL GAME, ITS ONLY A BETA" and then the game wasn't much more.. Now the cry is "TEN YEAR PLAN"... Everyone was just hoping for something a little more out of the gate. HEY, they still have time though. Assassins Creed one wasn't that great but 2 really tied the series together. If you have a great opening start to a series you can take more risks down the road knowing people will buy... now.. people will wait to see rather than jump on the D2 train right away. Basically lesson learned. Overall I like the game and will stick it out with Bungie as I have hope even if they delivered a product less than polished.

4 RepliesThe Destiny disk currently in your console will not be constantly updated for 10 years. Bungie and Activision simply signed a contract saying that they will work on the Destiny franchise together for 10 years. That means more games (prob Destiny 2 and 3, at least) and countless paid expansions throughout the next 10 years. You didn't just pay $60 for a 10 year game. You basically paid 60 for a demo of this supposed 10 year franchise, and they're already promoting the hell out of these expansions that we have to pay for, just so we can finish the incomplete story that we just dropped $60 on.

3 RepliesIt's a great game, but it doesn't deserve the undying praise is gets from this community. The same goes for the ridiculous amount of hate thrown at it as well. People are either putting it on a pedestal or condemning it and labeling it garbage. Whether you're just a person nitpicking every issue the game has so you can hate on it, or you're a person who blindly and pathetically defends all the game's shortcomings you just make yourself and the community look bad. At the end of the day it's just a game. It's a good game imo. It's not the best thing I've ever played. It's not revolutionary. I don't even think it's really even next-gen. But it's definitely not a bad game.

1 Replydon't be an apologist alright? I think the gameplay in destiny is great. The content and campaign are not great, they're not even good. If the first star wars had ended after the cantina scene, but then lucas was like "we're on a 20 year plan", nobody would care because that initial helping was so lacking. Thats exactly what destiny is facing. Because they sandbagged so hard and gave us a stripped down, in complete game, after those pretty vid docs, a lot of people are not gonna care about destiny 2 or whatever comes next, especially if its just paid dlc. People were pysched for halo 2 because halo 1 was such a phenominal game. With destiny, people are just gonna be skeptical.
