Am I the only truly enjoying Destiny?
I'm currently content with everything here. They provide updates weekly with new things to do and already have so much lined up.
Sure can there be slightly more? Sure there can.
Am I pressing it like it's more crucial than eradicating Ebola? No.
It's just a game ladies and gentlemen. You don't like or not happy with it. Leave.
Please note I'm not trying to suppress criticism. Every developer needs feedback, but the way some of you are going about it are complete cry babies. And people wonder why companies pander to the "casual" gamer and it's asshat "true fans."

If you're a Battlefield player like myself, you'd understand why I'm so happy with Destiny. Go play Battlefield 4 and then complain about Destiny.

When I'm not playing Destiny, I'm thinking about it. Wish the story was a bit more fleshed out than it is, but I realize they need room to expand on it over the coming years and other than that I'm loving it.

I completely agree. The people that complain about every little detail need to calm down. This game is amazing! Sure it gets repetitive sometimes but there's enough to do in the world that you can quickly get over that feeling.

I am really happy with Destiny so far. The problem with the people that are complaining is that they don't understand this isn't a CoD game. They aren't gonna master the game and get all the rewards and content just by sitting on their butts for one heavy play through session. It takes time and patience for the true rewards to come through. My only disappointment so far is Queens Wrath... Which is just a bunch of new bounties and no lore or story whatsoever from it. But aside from that im excited about this game and what Bungie is gonna do with it from here on out. :)

3 RepliesA lackluster "guess it yourself so we can milk you with DLC" storyline. Horrid RNG system. It took me nine legendaries to get one for my class. 9/10 legendary engrams are blue/green. PvP that rewards people who go quadruple negative in Clash and ruin it for the rest of your team. I can queue up for strikes but not Queen's Wrath missions? Thanks for giving me five of the same Queen's Wrath Hood in a row. Oh well, at least you can solo the one on Earth. Boss fights are.. reminiscent of Goldeneye on 00 Agent. Everybody looks the same. building off that. there's like ten different armor variants per class. "I JUST GOT THIS- Oh.. he already has it/looks just like me" How about nerfing fusion rifle range? Patrol missions get stale as -blam!- after ten minutes. also wtf sending me to the other side of the map that I just finished. Ghost is just... my god the story telling. maybe if I was twelve I'd be mystified. Aren't all of the faction armor sets pretty much identical? Finally got vanguard auto rifle. the vanguard logo clips/doesn't display when zoomed out. This community is more toxic than the WoW forums. Zero communication. So many kids just camping at spawn with sniper in PvP straight up dying every ten seconds, donating points. How many armor shaders are there? lol. how many purple or red armor shaders are there? Minecraft armor dye is more advanced. Golden chests... hahaha. How about different land vehicles? You've got X amount of ships to choose from, everyone rides a sparrow. The Tower? How about a little backstory? What about all the stuff you can see from the tower? Also, pretty -blam!-ing empty. Maybe get rid of this whole "You can only get 100 marks a week thing" I loved this game until I hit twenty. Now I see it for what it really is. Go ahead, defend it. Sheep.

Tweaks needed: Social: proximity zone chat, strike chat, crucible team chat, matchmaking for ALL difficulties. Loot: tame RNG, beef up rewards for meaningful activities, greatly reduce the chance of inferior loot from superior engrams. PVP balance: Bring scout rifles back to their beta levels, remove invincibility from blade-dancer super, make the sum of stability & the greater of either impact or rate of fire = 100% for AR's, because high stability AR's are still OP'd and still superior at long range to aimed semi's. PVE balance: lower the level differential so people who have just unlocked the strikes 2 levels above them aren't utterly useless perms-corpses.

Not even to mention titanfall didn't even have a story, have faith people they have a $500 million budget, if you're not happy leave until they add more content, if they can't make a story with that budget they're gonna get whats come to them

1 ReplyI should have listened to my first instinct when I heard about Destiny, but admittedly I was caught up in the hype train and the beta caught my interest. So I thought Id give it a try and for a while there my friends and I had a blast. Then as level 20 hit and the impossibility to level up at a reasonable pace do to the horrible loot system, the honeymoon goggles of Bungies's first independent title began to wear off. I saw it for what it was....a corporate cash train running on the fan base of Halo fans. A loot system that requires hours on hours of grinding with no reward only to be chastised by Bungie for finding a way to feel somewhat of a satisfaction of being rewarded for farming at the Cave of Wonders, a guild level system that, again, requires hours and hours of grinding for barely any payoff and god forbid you actually buy something from one of the factions because you wont be able to buy anything for 2 weeks from the same one due to the 100 mark limit, areas being removed for further implementation in DLC, a story that just doesnt exist, not explanation of anything in the game other than the occasional fun fact by the "wonderful" Peter D. It all adds up to disappointment.

People on game forums are always like this. Always. They spend their days playing and or/talking about a game they seem to hate and they bitch and moan like 10 year olds. All games are like this. The other 95% of players just play and enjoy the game. Most people playing the game never even go to the online forums.

I really enjoy it. Heck, i love this game. But you gotta admit, there are times that it gets repetitive and boring. Sure theres a lot to do, earn marks, grind for gear. But once all of that is done, you just dont know what to do especially when you already know the outcome of a mission. But ill still play it every damn day. Because that is my Destiny.

I enjoy the game, but I'll say what's been said a thousand times, it's repetitive, but most MMOs are, but take WoW for example, different game, but essentially the same mechanics, instances, raids, pvp etc. I started wow in vanilla when It just came out when I was about 13 and I don't think there was even a moment when I was bored or wasn't enjoying it. The leveling up, the quests, the pvp everything. And I'm aware WoW had a lot more of a social aspect, but when I started, I didn't have any friends in game and it wasn't really til end game that I started socialising since it was necessary. So is play by myself mostly leveling 1-60 doing quests. It was the most enjoyable gaming I've ever had. I loved every second. But with this game, even though you are around people 90% of the time, I really see no need to interact with them or even feel the desire to speak to them. Destiny is good, graphics and gameplay wise, but the content isn't enough to keep SOME people going. The campaign was horrid; like, who am I? Why do I care about this character? Why do I dare about the vex, fallen, cabal etc. The lack of back story was a killer for me. I enjoyed the missions during the campaign, but I just felt as if I was doing it. Just so I could get to 20, I had no desire to find out what would happen next on Venus/mars etc. And the fact that I could do an entire 26 strike and get absolutely nothing out of it; leaves me feeling like "what was the point of that?" Atleast let the boss drop something as a reward, it just left me feeling empty So no I don't think you are the only person enjoying it, but [b]truly[/b] enjoying it? You're a minority I could go on, but I'll end it here

Absolutely love this game. Strikes are a challenge at the high level, RNG loot actually keeps me coming back because I know if I keep playing I'll eventually get that loot. Story is actually quite phenomenal if you apply yourself and dig deep into it, and there are a ton of plot holes which I love because there are still like 3 more games to come so I have until then to keep guessing and theory-crafting. In Crucible, classes are balanced, skill level of players is what varies (that's to all those out there complaining of unbalance), and I'm super pumped to grind my way into the Raid. All in all, fascinated by the world Bungie created for us and stoked to stick with the series.

Totally agree with that last comment you made about BF4. Any shooter is better than BF4. But yes even though I complain every now and then, I am thoroughly enjoying this game. Only reason I complain is I want bungie to make this good game even better.

1 ReplyGame is awesome, love that you can't trade, I like that I have to put in hours of gameplay to achieve things (even if it is cave farming, loot chest farming, what have you), I like that you have to level up different factions, enjoy playing the daily challenges, have no problem doing the same thing over and over to get to where you need to be to do the difficult raids, higher level story modes, I suck at crucible but play it anyway to earn rep, and I love run-on sentences... I understand people will complain, and that's good for them, stop playing the game already and move on. I hope bungie doesn't nerf ish just for the complainers, this game is seriously epic and has so much more to offer in the long run.

1 ReplyI also love this game. I play every day for hours, and haven't gotten bored yet. It can be tedious but thats part of the fun. I wanted to start a forum topic for people who actually love this game and list what they like about it. The fake news reports on here are hilarious! There are also some good fan theories to the story which makes me enjoy the mystery of this new universe/franchise even more. My favorite thing is the primitive form of communication while in the tower. We all goof off in the tower. Chasing each other, playing ball, dancing, etc. Thank you for posting something that encourages us to be positiive and express what we like about Destiny!

I don't understand all the whining, but I'm used to games that need grinding and in fact in some ways enjoy it because it makes other things that much simpler. I haven't even finished the short story yet (only just unlocked Venus) and I've reached Level 20 through patrol missions/etc. There's a lot to do and yes it's repetitive but I enjoy that - allows me to get better, I'm not normally very good on shooters. (Read: Not good at all..)
