Ok, so I realize this is probably a waste of time since it'll get buried in the complaints and whining about weapon balance... but I think this needs addressing... I've played a couple of MMOs before Destiny and I've reached what people refer to as "endgame" far too quickly in Destiny. A lot of people are saying there's very little left to do, there's nothing unique to aim for aside from leveling your equipment and trying to get to L30. Lovely... but what happens next? Personally I dislike how 'Light' is being used to level your character... but at the same time I'm hoping that something great could come from this. What I'm suggesting is that Bungie set up new tiers going from 30-40 and 40-50 and bring them into the game asap... people will sit and wonder "How are we supposed to get to rank 50?! I can't even get to rank 30!!". MMO games are about patience and planning, and so far, the game has been a quick rush to get the light and all the exotic and legendary armor pieces and it's now become stale as everyone is literally doing the same things over and over... So, my suggestion is this; Once you hit the "level cap" for each tier (currently, 20 base cap, 30 max light cap), you must sacrifice your light on your armor modules to set your base level to that level cap, and then once again, mine for armor modules that give light. So once you hit the level cap of 30, you're presented with a message that says "Do you wish to absorb the light? Yes/No" Yes - removes all light from your equipment making you a white level 30. No - keeps you at level 30 with max light and no way to progress. Players will then have to further work at getting to level 40 and 50, and maybe in future updates 60, 70 and so on... This gives the community two things; 1. The ability to know they can keep progressing, and they are forever in reach of the "next level". 2. It provides stability in the system that players know with higher tiers available, more hidden content will be revealed. Which in turn makes Destiny more favorable in the community. An addition to this, there could be prerequisites in place in order to prevent people from rushing through with all the extra armour they've already acquired from farming spots (which needs fixing btw, I know you're working on them from the last updates though, thanks). One of these prerequisites could be that both sub-classes of each type of Guardian must be completed before you can ascend to base level 30. Base level 30 could then unlock the third sub-class element for that type of Guardian. Again, this provides stability in the community that they know they have something to work for, and look to rise up to and accomplish. Seeing nothing to aim for so early on in a game can be really detrimental to the community, especially when the workload required to attain what the community is aiming for is so repetitive. Leading on from that... a lot of people have been complaining that the game is monotonous and nothing changes in terms of what you do (Defend Ghost, battles 3 waves, move on, meet boss, battle 3 waves, kill boss). The story, strikes and raids all need an increase in what needs to be accomplished from a players perspective. Hopefully this might get a look in, and I've got my fingers crossed you guys already have something similar in mind anyway due to the unique nature of 'Light' leveling.
