Titan gearing woes

So it appears that all exotic Titan gear has Strength. This is speculation, but I think it's a pretty safe bet considering: The past 2 exotic armor pieces offered by Xur have Strength, all Vanguard gear has Strength. This is unfortunate because.... who the hell cares about their Melee skill's cooldown when Shotguns are running rampant all match and the Striker's Shoulder Charge is unreliable at best, unviable in most maps/modes (despite the initial hype). I've been buying from FWC for this very reason, because I know I will be using my grenades and Super Ability in just about every engagement it is up. Who really uses their melee skill damn near everytime it's off cooldown? This is more a personal issue but... I hate "odd numbers". I don't want one piece of gear with Strength. So seeing that I will always have to deal with atleast one piece of Strength piece I kind of want to spec all into Strength and try to make the most of it.... Problem is this: I love Handcannons and I don't see myself ever switching over to any other primary. I also feel that Discipline isn't nearly as important as Intelligence. If I'm going to spec into Strength then I'm going to attempt to run around maps like a mad man trying to Shoulder Charge ****, which means I won't be nading too often (as I'll have to "charge" my shoulder charge again after using a nade). New Monarchy gives Strength+Intelligence, which sounds perfect, but it only gives "carry more ammo for the Handcannon" and lacks the much, much more important "Improved reload speed for Handcannon". The rest of the armor gives the buffs to other weapon types. Vanguard armor, same story. Now Dead Orbit gives all the Handcannon buffs (as does FWC), but doesn't give Intelligence. TL;DR: Game needs more gear options that take into account all spec/primary weapon combos.

Im 100% certain strength has 0 effect on shoulder charge. If you could clarify and post a link that'd be great.
