Having played borderlands previously as well as other RPGs, I was interested in having a trade system added to destiny and didn't know why it wasn't in the beginning. I now understand why it isn't and why it probably never will be. Unlike borderlands or other mmos, this game has a soft level cap and our gear determines our level after we reach 20. With that said, it would be super cheating if a friend starts a new class and when they get to 20 (which is relatively easy), I just give them the extra legendary armor that I've already leveled up so they instantly jump from 20 to 27+. If there were higher level required gear or weapons then there might be trading. Just a thought.
