Just thought I'd give my two cents regarding Arcblade.

To everyone saying how broken Arcblade super is, you clearly don't understand how this game works. Yeah sure I can jump into a room and kill everyone in it in a matter of seconds, however, Arcblade is easily checked with Titan Smash and Warlock Blast. On multiple occasions I have activated my super and dashed into a room, gunning for a titan. The second before I hit him he begins his super animation. I slash him, his health drops to virtually nothing. He continues the animation, I slash him one more time, invincible. Then he smashes the ground and one shots me and his health heals back up all nice and pretty. The exact same thing happens with Warlock Blast. So if you are a Warlock or a Titan who is complaining about how powerful Arcblade is, how about you do something that Warlocks and Titans don't ever have to do, and think, save your super to counter Arcblade and don't get greedy. God's I can't even count how many times I've seen a Titan or Warlock waste their super on just one person.

  • People complain about the arcblade super but titans armor is far superior to the arcblades. If I have my GG activated and I shoot an arcblader in super they insta die. If I do the same against a titan who activates their ground pound super they live and I die...I know it has happened plenty of times where I shoot and hit the guy but he survives with about 25% red bar of health left....how is that for OP? A super that grants virtual invincibility for a few seconds. Vs a super that grants reduced dmg for a longer period of time. The problem is people can obviously see the arcblade super and how resistant it is. But few know that the titan is basically invincible even to other supers during his super.

    People in the crucible are generally idiots. I find the best way to kill an arcblader (because I am one) is to use a super. A fusion rifle at close range will wipe you out. But generally the most reliable way I have found is the exotic shotgun Invenctive because it fires so fast and has decent range it can 2 shot an arcblader before he can to me

    • Lol if you are on a small map, try using Arc Blade on a big Mars or moon maps, good luck getting to anyone with out dying. I have been killed many times by shotguns when using my Arc Blade. It is stupid how people think it is OP, because I want to trade Arc Blade for Nova bomb. I love Hunters for everything they are EXCEPT their supers. Give me a Titan or Warlock super any day.

    • I agree, before making a hunter I always thought it seemed to good, people would be getting kill after kill with it, however now that I have a bladedancer I've noticed it really is easy to be countered or used at the wrong time. When done right it can be the best super, otherwise yeah, it's definitely not overpowered and quite hard to master.

    • My main is a hunter. I have decent builds for both subclasses, and have all the perks unlocked. Depending on armor, I'm typically in the 27 - 29 level group. I have plenty of experience using blade dancer both for PvP and PvE. Just so you know, blade is probably my favorite of the two classes, sheerly for the mobility and freedom of movement. For the nightfall and raids it's basically useless due in large part to the diminished armor stat and heavy emphasis on C.Q.C., but for PvP and for lulzing about in patrol and other missions, its very good. More to the point, the super is not necessarily OP by comparison to the other supers, but I do feel there should be one tweak made that would even things out. I feel that the damage reduction gained during the move should be reduced significantly. I've been in a few battles where popping my blade super basically guaranteed my survival against a team of enemies. I mean to say that I have charged and killed entire teams with my blade dancer, and got away with it. Titans may kill two or three people, if they are lucky. But a striker will get killed 100% of the time by the remainder of the team. They may even be killed by a single player while executing their super, in certain situations. The same is true for warlocks. Gunslingers can be flanked and destroyed easily, sometimes before they even fire a shot. As a blade dancer, however, nothing short of a heavy weapon or a well timed super is enough to stop me. Even if the team can coordinate and focus fire, I will usually get at least one or two of them before being killed. I don't feel a nerf is necessary, but something should be adjusted. The instant kill nature of the super, combined with the added mobility, and the duration of the move is extremely deadly. Being extra resistant to damage besides simply makes it too powerful. TL;DR: High level hunter here. I don't think it really needs to be nerfed, but the damage resistance needs to be tweaked. In its current state, I kind of agree with people calling for it.

    • So bored of hunters getting butt hurt. The super isn't OP. But of the supers I've used in PvP (which include all of the warlock and hunter ones) arcblade requires the least skill to reliably get the most kills... Yes, it can be stopped. If it couldn't that would be dumb. But warlocks can miss bombs very easily and titans strike just never feels that threatening to me on the whole. I feel like you are using occasional, potential scenarios and ignoring the general use and how it reacts in normal combat. P.s. If you are instantly getting stomped before even getting a single kill in return first, you're using it at the wrong time and have no-one to blame but yourself. I'm currently levelling my hunter because I enjoy that arcblade is a strong super. But not unstoppable. People calling for the nerf, shut up. It's not enormously OP. People trying to defend it like jealous little pre-teens defending their first pubes... You shut up too. Arcblade is strong (stop trying to deny it). Not OP (stop trying to convince everyone). Getting sick and tired of all the redundant whining in this forum. I actually come here to surf through the shit to find something interesting. So far I've had about as much luck with that as finding exotics from engrams.... TL;DR - [b]GROW UP[/b]!

        The thing that makes the hunters supers annoying is that the arc blade, unlike the warlock and Titan supers has extreme mobility. Sure they can blow their FoH or Novabomb super and kill you (defender is usually sol, even with helm of saint 14 and armour bubble bonus), that's the only way they're going to pretty much not get one shotted / sliced up. Where as a hunter can pop their super and literally run around the map killing everyone.

        • When 60-70% of the players in PvP are hunters. You can only counter it once before it rears its ugly head again within the next minute. So how do I super-counter all these scenarios? And here is where you are wrong the most, why do I have to use my warlock special to kill ONE person, instead of multiple as it is intended. But hunter kills multiple with his. Maybe you should take your own advice and think.

          • Hunters are op. Also the arc blade is the only super that can kill in more than one area. Shot a hunter with a shotgun 3 times and he lost almost no health with arc blade on.

              Arcblade isnt unstopable but given the hunter using it if they're smart they know how to use it to evade just about anything many of them will just keep rapidly hitting right trigger/bumper to dart around to avoid fire most people really cant keep up with their speed so thats why a lot of them say its OP that and the ranged attack that you can chose for that super is a little broken imo but its a versatile super so I guess its meant to be that way. As for the whole start up animation BS unless you are brain dead you'll start you super when no one is around and then proceed to run into a room and murder people. I seriously cant see how people pull that card. Moving on though in terms of other supers Titans are lucky to get a multi kill with theirs because the enemy team would more than likely have to be clustered up in order for them to get the best benifit so I'd imagine thats why they'll use it to only take down one person, I mean literally I've gone entire games of Clash holding my super trying to find multi kill chances but sometimes they just never come. As for warlocks I cant speak for them I've noticed they can miss their super fairly easily not to mention they are probably the easiest to kill during theirs excluding Sunsinger. Oh yeah and I forgot to mention Titans only gain bonus damage resistance for FoH if we chose the perk for it but most of us take shoulder charge since its a 1hko or so I've noticed so not all Titans are nearly invulnerable during their super and we can be killed before it activiates if said opposition is fast enough or just uses a shotgun.

              • Don't touch arc blade... it is meh in pve as is and adjusting for PvP will ruin it further.. and sure it can work in pve but it is worse than other super a due to range

              • Bigger maps allow more room to jump around and evade from someone using arc blade. In tight maps, however, it is near impossible to dodge arc blade. Its not that hard to walk around with 10 seconds of invincibility and attack the moment your radar lights up red. Arc blade needs a cooldown, or atleast turn off their radars while super is active

              • By default titans and warlocks are vulnerable during their supers. In addition enemies have to be bunched up like idiots for a multi kill. Arc blade not only gets a shield buff w/ stupid agility but in terms of AoE it's as far as you can run with the super on. Incredibly overpowered.

                • Yes! People don't realize that arc blade isn't OP. I've seen so many people get quads with the Titan smash and the Warlock's nova bomb but it is rare to see smeone use arc blade and go "dashing in"(as some people refer it to) and still manage to get a quad. Hell it can't counter any of the other supers, it is countered by other hunters with gunslinger, titan smash, nova bomb and self resurrect (shotgun+die+resurrect+shotgun again=kill). Don't get me statted on the sholder barge of the titan either. If anything needs to be nerfed its the fact there is more 2 piecing in here than gears of war 2.

                • I've killed many enemies with my guns...rarely have I killed titans or warlocks when they used the super...but when a damn hunter with Arc Blade comes at me? I couldn't kill them... Yea a titan and warlock get this insta thing and damn near invincible but that's only for a few secs...I've literally shot a hunter with my Thunderlord only for he's shields to get depleted and me to die quickly...countless rounds I put into a hunter with arc blade, shotgun rounds of all sizes...and those hunters live on while there's a giant wound in my Titan....if anything I say they are overpowered...but that's just my 2 cents on the matter...I've killed a few but the majority of those were supers from my titan or they were near death or unaware I was near by.

                    • I use the defender and "armor of light" perk for it and I can take 3 direct arcblade strikes and survive. Especially if I already have a force barrier active. (then they would have to completely deplete their super to kill me alone!) When they enter the shield it just takes a good couple shotgun blasts to the face and they are dead. I Nearly cleared an entire team when I activated the shield! (The rest survived because they never even shown up.)

                    • I don't think it should be nerfed back to the stone-age. I think it should be easier to kill a hunter during Arc Blade. Like a 10% easier to kill. But seriously, you have to be in our shoes to understand WHY. The super is basically the Sword of Crota with an armor boost. However, like my friend going against another Hunter is a Super fight. I gotta admit that.

                        • wait so its not an op super because the only consistent thing to stop it is a super from the other classes....... seems legit lol. Kind of like all the other classes can be killed/shot out of their super animation. The range and ability to chase down people is annoying. ITs almost a guaranteed multikill on all the small maps which is all but 2. I think the combo of extreme agility with shield makes it so annoying to deal with. but whatever

                          • here we go another hunter defending his OP supers, lets look at this shall we? blade dancer gets extra armor, i have used it and have survived shotguns and melees all while dashing 50 feet away killing 3 people, combine that with blink strike and stealth you are ridiculously OP, while my titan smash has hardly killed more than 1 person AND i have been double teamed out of my super. now lets talk golden gun, it can kill a titan in mid super, same with warlock, has almost sniper range AND is almost impossible to miss. it can also destroy a titan bubble in 2 hits, plus its a mobile super and can have its duration increased along with its shots. now the other classes dont get mobile supers or duration increases, we dont get the help of auto aim nor are we able to dart from 50 feet away and get 3 kills. theres a reason we say bladedancer is OP....BECAUSE IT IS.
