I find myself wanting just to enjoy the tower beyond, getting bounties, visiting the Cryptarch, checking on my status among the various factions. It would be nice to in some way, really enjoy the vistas in this game in a non-shooting fashion. Some of my personal pastimes in RPGish games like this are: Zelda Ocarina of Time's Fishing activity, Final Fantasy always had some type of card game to burn your time in town. In general, there could be some kind of not so competitive multiplayer elements or even individual activities that are fun and simple, to more strongly encourage people to hangout in the environments (which look spectacular!!!), and interact with others. Bungie has had some really fun game types in Halos of past (griffball, zombies), but to me, I'm looking for more ways to really engage with the environments, other than shoot things, collect things from shot things, randomly hunt for certain materials, or search for chests. Many of these style of play have been done over and over again in previous games, though they occupy your time, they aren't particular "fun" to do. Some random thoughts: Maybe a fair shootout game at the tower? Maybe an actual place to play a form of soccer, with those random balls in town. A fishing game or sorts, where you fish for exotic animals in the various worlds, for rare prizes. Just to add a bit of praise, I really love the feeling when there is is a public event in an environment and several random players show up to help! Its probably one of the greatest serendipitous things that I enjoy from this game.
