My Destiny experience so far...
I have played for over 60 hours. To begin with I was enamoured by it the gameplay is slick and fun.
However, you soon realise there is almost no actual storyline. Sure, they put most of it in grimoires but you can't access this in game, you have to use an app or website.
When you start it's loot a plenty and you only notice there is no actual logic to the drops shortly after level 20. For example you have legendary loot (that may not be but I will get to that in a moment) falling out of minor enemies and bosses that takes ages to beat drop NOTHING. I hope they fix this soon as it's breaking the game. People are now respawn camping enemies instead of actually playing in events as it's more time effective.
The loot system, even when you get a legendary engram you have to decipher it. Then it turns out to be some weak non legendary thing which is incredibly annoying.
Raids are a nightmare. You have to get a team of 6 people with about 14 hours of free time, at the same time. It doesn't matchmake so you will have to do all the leg work and organise a time when everyone is prepared for the long haul.
So for the most part after level 20 it's standing on a hill in the same spot shooting enemies as they respawn from a cave as there is little to no incentive to play the missions or events as the loot from them is rubbish for the amount of time put in.
All that said I still like the game. It has very addictive gameplay. I hope they fix the loot system soon as it's ruining an otherwise highly enjoyable game.
The loot system is the one thing I would choose as a priority fix.

Increase fireteams to 4 man groups.

Priority fixes should be accessibility. My boyfriend is colourblind so he can't use his radar and can almost never find me in game cuz he can't see my name against a lot of backgrounds. Separate volume controls for dialogue, bg music and sound effects too cuz my ears aren't great and it's hard to hear dialog. (I know there's subtitles but it'd be nice not always have to pay attention to the bottom of the screen)

Show me a random Grimoire card (that I've unlocked) during the loading screen. #doneanddone

First thing I would add is a survival/war random or private strike team. 12 peeps, throw it on a already existing map and try to survive it. First this is a great time killer so bungie can get caught up fixing stuff. Secondly they can go in and set it up a hundred different ways. That's what I would change first.

PVP balance. Nerf the accuracy on Auto Rifles and Shotguns, increase the charge of fusion rifles, instantly better game.
-
Better social experience. Streamlined with no extra menus or orbits.
-
1. Fireteam size increased to 4 players 2. Allow two fire teams to meet up in patrol and tower. 3. Allow players to set difficulty of Raids and open it up to matchmaking. 4. Give players the option of joining a friend's fireteam. As far as I can tell, you can only invite other players. 5. Chat Chat Chat 6. Loot balancing. Guaranteed loot drops from bosses. The higher the difficulty, the better the loot.

Crucible lag is top priority for me. Tired of trading kills. Loot system and less frequent special ammo spawns in the Crucible would come second.
-
Private pvp challenging and open world duel requests. I would love to see that

Honestly, the very FIRST thing? Adjustable volume between SFX, music, and chat. It can't be that hard to do and it'd improve quality-of-life a fair bit.

The next thing that needs to be fixed ASAP is the Dinklebot. I have never heard a more disinterested voice in my life.

What about a compelling story? Maybe all Guardians working together to revive the Traveler? Reactivating the Cosmodrom and ships to reconquer the Moon, Mars etc. Space fights with fleets of guardian ships? Building spaceports in orbit, building spaceships and fighting fleets of Fallen? So many possibilities. But it's just about finding more loot to get the missing parts for your nice dress!? wtf

The story ( there is none)

Edited by XxCiscoKid42OxX: 9/24/2014 6:11:22 PMI think a lot of people are upset about the story in the game, but come on bungie said from the beginning that they planned on this being a ten plus year game so it's a little understandable that it's not that long but they do give you the option to replay the missions over with a higher difficulty settings. How many of you complained when you beat a halo game in two days? And the only thing they would release after the game came out was a map pack! Maybe we as gamers should sit back and let the people who have given us some of the best games out there do what they do best. Now I'm not saying that there aren't flaws but this games is three weeks old, there's no point in all the trash talk, hopefully bungie pays attention to the forums and corrects some of these small issues. I will however say I to wish for matchmaking, and an easier way to communicate with other players at the tower for things like raids and night falls. maybe a community message board at the tower.

This not really a fix more an alteration for agent of nine to appear during weekdays

Edited by Vexov: 9/24/2014 8:57:44 PM1) Internet Connection, this is the only freaking game that drops me (after that patch, things have been much better). 2) Loot, its simply so simple to get it and gear up that is garbage. If people are done hunting and upgrading their characters then there is really no more point. 3) PvP is a total mess, imo. Everything needs re-balancing. -The only things that should 1 shot you is direct hit from a super(dunno what to do about golden gun if change, maybe only 1 shot if aimed at the head). Shotgun at point-blank, rockets. PvP feels more like something if Super Smash Bro's + CoD had a baby (but they were brother and sister). 4) Text-Chat, Communications is a heavy must and its THE BEST way of communication.
-
Voice chat at the minimum. Then make it so purple grams dont drop -blam!-ing lvl 15 greens!
-
Crucible balancing
-
At the very least, I'd like some form of chat other than just with your fireteam.
-
The game......fix it.

Matchmaking to the weekly strikes (Heroic and Nightfall). This is something that shouldn't even be asked, really. All the Strikes modes of the game (including playing in a vanguard playlist) have a matchmaking except the most important ones after you are lvl 22+, which are the weekly strikes. Makes nosense not having this option avaliable.
-
Raids. I would guess less than 5% of players will ever finish one (maybe even start one). Whats the point?
-
Pvp loot. And people need to shut the -blam!- up about the sniper and the shotgun. Have you dumb asses never played Halo? The shotgun and sniper were almost the exact same in as they are in this game and Halo had one of if not the best multiplayer experiences of all time. Get the -blam!- over it.
-
They need a ranking system

Matchmaking

The game.
