Deleted my level 25. Selling Destiny.
Would've deleted every damn character if I could. I'm just tired of Destiny. At first it was a fun, fresh experience, but after opening week, and hitting level 25(then stalling there while friend after friend passes me up), not to mention that it has a terrible loot system and uninspiring side missions. Go to the crucible, go 27-3, what do you get? Shit. But the worst guy on the team gets a legendary god damn engram, and in top of it, his level SEVEN cryptarch gives him a sweet ass piece of legendary gear instead of just a blue or green. Really Bungie? We lose a game and then one of the worst players that game get Closing Time?(blandly renamed time and patience or whatever). Here's another example, I go fix breakfast while in the crucible with my friends, didn't play any the match, what do I get? A rare helm that bumps my level up. We aren't able to explore all the terrain we were led to believe, and to top it off the crptarch is probably the biggest flaming douche I've ever met, virtually or otherwise. After recommending this game to so many, after waiting with baited breath for so long, after dumping hours into this game, it turns out to be a huge let down. I used to be a huge supporter and fan if the game, and readily defended Destiny against naysayers.. But now, now I can't help but agree. Destiny isn't all that great, it's ok. That's about it. I won't be picking up any future Destiny titles, and just possibly Bungie titles period after this travesty. No troll, just the honest opinion of a disappointed customer. Trading this game in today, hopefully someone else will enjoy it as I did, just longer than I did.
Edit: The story ending was a let down also.
Edit: To all the unintelligible dick chutes saying "No one cares why'd you post" I did so because Bungie claims to read these forums. So hopefully they read this post and many others so that they fix the game, and people buying, or still playing it have a better experience, or they get it right next time around. Don't care, then don't read or comment. Simple. And to those of you insulting me, or calling me a whiny kid, your idiotic behavior is just showing who the real child here is. ✌ This post was for Bungie. Not you fanboying louts who keep posting even though you don't care about my post. You obviously cared to some degree if took the time to read this and post.

Yep, I don't know what edition you got but I foolishly got Ghost edition. I am pretty disappointed and I think anyone who expected it to be more than "just another shooter" is disappointed because it isn't. All the open world stuff is a lie, it's barely open world, sure the maps are decently sized if you multiplied them! But for what? You just go around in circles doing the same thing on 4 different maps and they called it "exploring". The Story was so thin (Grimore cards aren't in the game) it was hardly even there. random drops don't feel like earning, and the grinding you have to do get armor from the Vangaurd, or anyone else, is so boring and dull that you just give up (public events need to happen 3x-5x as often); grinding is fine if there is purpose behind it, getting a pair of boots, a helmet, or shirt doesn't feel purposeful. Overall it's just a COD shoot on a big sale with supers and over-shields I am already going back to old ES games because they are way better than Destiny and I won't invest another dime on this franchise. Sure I will play again when DLC comes out to see if it redeems itself because I have already paid for it (even though it can't really be redeemed by paid DLC!), but unless the DLC has more content than the original game it won't help, and if does have that much, or close to it, that is really low to make you pay 60$ for a "full game" and them make you pay more for the rest of it.

Your not level 25, your level 24 (which you didn't delete) and don't try to play it off like you leveled all the way back up because you only have 61 hours play time... next, You played A TON yesterday (after writing this post) meaning you did NOT sell the game... All of this adds up to a lonely butt hurt nerd who clearly suffers with mental instability and craves attention that he does not receive from anyone in real life (especially women). It isn't bungies fault. Blame money hungry activision. The way activision sees it is they spent $500 million making the game. Another couple million advertising it. So of course they told bungie be a--holes with the amount of content at first because they can easily make money off of selling bits and pieces of the game. What me, and many others will probably do is wait until the first year of content comes out. If the game doesn't change dramatically then, like you, we will probably also give the game up. As of now, i'd just rather be playing this besides CoD. But am really tempted to go back to BF4. Rant over.

I do still enjoy the game but I see where you're coming from. Destiny does lack in some aspects but the game is still pretty much being made as we play.

As of this morning there's an easy method to get legendary gear in less than an hour without leveling and minimal grinding. Should get you a solid level 27 ready for Raiding in less than a week with minimal effort. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

I get what you mean. I'm waiting to see how the whole dlc thing turns out and what will be free and paid. If the story turns out to be paid ill end up trading destiny in for something else.

I'm feeling the same thing dude. I was loving this game despite the flaws, sticking in there because was promising us new content. And then today came, and The Queen's Wrath was such a joke. This game was starving for new content and they gave us the same missions we already have with a new difficulty? I yelled out loud at my TV I was so frustrated. This not the same Bungie that made Halo Reach, that is for dang sure.

I level my decryptions, i got 3 exotics out of 9 levels. Each time you level it, you have a high chance of getting at least a legendary out of 3-4 engrams that you recieve. Loot system is fine with most players, its randomly based, i think its just the ratio of kills/enemy/players vs time/hours put into the game. I dont care about getting good items as long as i get them. If i can have 100 rare engrams, i bet you 9 of those would be legendary,2 exotics, the rest mostes of light, strange coins and then rare uncommon gear, and hopefully rare mats.

It's because you built it up so much in your head dude. You psyched it up so much that there was no way it could live up to your expectations. Hence you we're let down when you finally got your hands on it and it wasn't the "next gen defining, life changing" game that you'd built up/imagined it'd be.
