I read somewhere that Bungie expects destiny to have a ten year life time and there's lots of room to extend the story in a sequel. Given this ten year life span, I'd like to see some big DLCs. Maybe a "Second Chapter" to expand the current universe with several new planets and continuing to expand the universe. An entire new game that would cost 50 or 60 dollars and I would expect the DLC to be priced similarly, it really would be a whole new game with a story as big as or larger than what we have now. Is this something we'd like to see? What are the benefits to Bungie financial to releasing a sequel as a DLC? Drawbacks? How will the level system be expanded to accommodate the sequel? Will a new set of armor and weapons become available with the new game to keep it interesting? Will we be farming for engrams in the next ten years? If not I'd like to see a lot more co-op missions and a more intense and immersive story But I'm not sure if they can overhaul the graphics of a pre-existing game. The games we have now are incredible in comparison to what we had last year, two years ago, three years ago. Halo: CE gave us more intuitive controls for the entire FPS genre, set a new standard for storytelling that hasn't been followed well by anyone, even Bungie, and made graphics a selling feature of any game. It's indisputable that CoD:4 laid the groundwork for the incredibly intuitive multiplayer experience we have now (as far as console games are concerned), and upped the ante for graphics. But since XB1 and PS4 is so new, the full potential of the new hardware has not yet been realized. Can graphics be enhanced as simply an update? How large will this update be? Are the graphics improved as Microsoft releases system updates? (This isn't an opinion question but something I'm not educated about personally) What are your thoughts?

  • The dlc will most likely not be purchased content. In most mmo games story that gets added in is usually free. From what I've seen with the expansion that's coming in December, it seems to be map packs and strike missions. Given that (though I understand it really isn't enough data to determine this) one can assume the expansions will mainly be maps and strikes or something along those lines. I dont think the story would have to be purchased.
