Then it would have gotten an 8 or 9 out of 10.
Not because of industry bias but because Bioware can actually tell a story, to the point it hooks gamers in for years to come. Even with the ME3 endings leaving a sour taste in gamers mouths the anticipation is already building for the next instalment and they've yet to even hint at a release date. The one thing Destiny has done for me was make me appreciate what MEU and DA fans actually have, we've been fickle and under appreciative of a good thing. Thank goodness Destiny came long and reminded us all of the other options currently available.

TBH comparing Bioware's storytelling to Bungie's is like comparing Nintendo's platforming to Naughty Dog's. Bungie has never been focused on storytelling. The story throughout the entire Halo series was basically nothing more than an excuse to showcase how good Bungie is at FPS mechanics. Bioware is one of the best storytelling game companies, while Bungie is one of the best FPS game companies. I do agree that if Bioware's had made Destiny the story would have been better, but the shooting mechanics would be worse. What would actually have been amazing is if Bungie and Bioware had collaborated on Destiny. THEN we would have the best story and the best FPS mechanics.

In a perfect world - Bioware for story Bungie for FPS side Bethesda for open world map design
-
The Vex are Clearly the Geth.
-
Then it wouldn't be a FPSMMORPG. It wouldn't be Destiny
-
bioware pre EA, maybe. Bioware post EA is in the same trap as Bungie where they wanna make a nice game but guys in suits with charts are saying that 18.4 % of `gamers`actually `like`story. no dude, you`re in a new era of gaming where guys in suits have noticed that money can be made in large amounts through video games.

Oh and the bit with the ship graveyard in the Reef reminds me of something... Oh yeah the ship graveyard in the suicide mission.

Edited by Marsournexthome: 10/31/2014 6:45:34 PMIf Bioware made Destiny, the heart would be red, blue or green.... You better make up for it next time Bioware. People are keeping a close eye on you....

8.75 from game informer.....

Yea I'm giving the dragon age team a chance but the mass effect team will never see another dime from me.
-
If bioware made destiny ea would micro tranaction the shit out of us
-
Edited by Sir Amik Vaze: 10/31/2014 9:01:29 PMShepard would -blam!- The Fallen, Hive, Cabal and Vex. Then piss all over the The Darkness. He took down The Reapers so....
Seriously though, it would be very good
-
Yep once mass effect 4 comes round im off
-
lets be real this game would have been better if activsion didn't get involved and Microsoft game studios had a part in it instead ..... but then ps owners would be the ones crying about xbox users getting early crap again...
-
What did you think of The Old Republic?
-
I wish.
-
The story is not over for Destiny's first game. Why is that so hard to comprehend?
-
Edited by GhostlyCrowd: 10/31/2014 5:58:52 PMNo EA would have rubbed its junk all over it and f ucked it up like they did to ME3's ending. Dont get me wrong, I loved all 3 ME. But EA did to Bioware what activision is doing to Bungie. Rushing shit out the door and stifling creativity.
-
Valve, dude. Still waiting on half life 3.
-
Yup I'm waiting for next mass effect and I'm dying to play inquisition.
-
Yep we have some good single (limited coop) player games coming up that I will get a good 50 hours out of maybe a bit more.

Bungie, Bioware and Bethesda are three of my favourite developers, that said they all develop different games. In my opinion each specialise in different areas Bungie are the gameplay and multiplayer king, they do make decent stories but the main reason people stick around is for the fun gameplay and the robust multiplayer. Bioware make excellent character driven stories and create incredible worlds filled with lore and wonder but the combat mechanics have been somewhat stiff at times. Bethesda make incredible open world games filled to the brim with lore and content to explore. The story and character side of these games are somewhat lacking a lot of characters are forgettable and the main story can be completed in a couple of hours. My point here is that each make wildly different games and I would not want a Bungie game being made by a different company, because it would lose the aspects that made Bungie games so good in the first place. Destiny is fun because its a Bungie game and if you remove Bungie from the equation and put Bioware in you might get a game with a better storyline but the combat mechanics would be nowhere near as good and the competitive mulitplayer would suck by comparison. That said a game made with Bungie, Bioware and Bethesda in collaboration would be godly I think......... or a complete train wreck I cant really decide lol.

Bioware has time to explain
-
MASS EFFECT FOREVER!! Bow in fear destiny peasants!
-
If Bioware made Destiny, Tess Everis (the special orders chick that is played by Morrigans voice actress from DA) would say extremely condescending and sarcastic things every time you walked by And I'd have loved every minute of it.
-
If BioWare made Destiny then EA would be bending us over rather than Activision... And EA is pretty -blam!-ing terrible.
-
Bioware> HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
