Only one piece of exotic gear at a time?
Ok I was not expecting to only be able to use one piece of exotic gear a time, specially since this game is such a gear grind. I was under the impression that getting gear was a good thing, but if one piece of exotic gear is a good thing I'm probably not going to be playing this game for much longer.
I'm a big fan of grinding for gear, so when I heard that this game was coming out I was extreamly exited. I was grinding so hard hard just to be let down. I don't like putting in this many hours in a game just to be -blam!-ed in the ass by exotics. Now I have an exotic titan cheat armor piece in my storage that's probably going to stay until they fix this if they fix this. I really hope they do

1 ReplyIts been known since beta that you were only allowed one exotic armor and weapon at a time. And it's because the armor is OP to the max. Most of the exotic armor provides for one or more of a subclasses abilities or modifiers. Like the helmet if inner most light provides for both the death from above and the "sprinting makes you leap farther" ability (sorry I main defender). Then you still get to select other modifiers. Think if you had 4 pieces of armor all providing for two of your abilities or modifiers. You would have most every buff available to that subclass. That's insane. And idk much about the exotic weapons but if they're anything like the armor then they'd be beyond OP as well. The legendaries are plenty powerful and you can equip as many of those as you want. Bungie doesn't make games that allow you to become a god. Halo's in-game modifiers were called skulls, you had to find them in the game, and when your turned them on most of them make the game a hell of a lot harder. You're just going to have to decide which exotic is right for what situation, and act accordingly.

3 RepliesHaving only one exotic armor/weapon is just a balance thing. With that rule in place they can make the exotics much more powerful and crazy.

4 RepliesWell it is a shame since you wasted Strange Coins on it (I presume) but you can always dismantle it and get some of the undoubtably awesome upgrade materials. Bit of a crap way to spend the coins but at least you can salvage something from the situation.
